Eden (formerly known as Origin of the Species) is quickly becoming a highly-anticipated film with its non-stop casting announcement of some of the most popular actors working in the industry now. Directed by Ron Howard from a screenplay by Noah Pink, Eden will be a survival thriller film, and while there are reports that say the film is based on a true story, what we know for sure is that the film will be trying to “explore the human condition in ways that are unexpected, absurd, humorous, sexy, but above all thrilling and deeply suspenseful.”
Eden – Filming Location & Production (Where Was It Shot?)
Filming began for Eden on November 27, 2023, with most of the production taking place in Queensland, Australia, and a small unit filming on the Galápagos Islands.
On February 14, 2024, Howard uploaded an Instagram post informing fans that the film had completed filming, saying, “It was a challenging one, but...

Christian Bale made his name synonymous with quality movies of all genres. These include the comedy horror American Psycho, The Dark Knight superhero trilogy and the drama Ford v Ferrari.
Nevertheless, the accomplished actor has some failures in his portfolio too. The biggest one is his 2022 movie that both underperformed at the box office and earned a shameful critical score of 32% on Rt, but, surprisingly, entered HBO’s global chart this weekend.
Set in the 1930s, this film follows three friends - a doctor (played by Bale), a nurse and a lawyer - who witness a murder of a general and become suspects themselves.
The more they explore what happens around them, the more they delve into one of the most shocking political conspiracies of the United States, the so-called Business Plot.
Even though this thriller is based on real-life events, it appears to be not realistic, but rather written by AI.

Amy Adams has worked with a lot of very successful and respected directors throughout her career. She has been a part of superhero franchises, book adaptations, and bone-chilling crime thrillers; understanding the ins and outs of the film industry. Having nothing but a positive image, it is safe to say that it would take her a lot to dislike a director.

However, one director managed to get under her skin to such a great extent, that Adams refused to work with him moving forward. What makes the situation all the more interesting is that he frequently collaborates with actors like Christian Bale, Jennifer Lawrence, and Bradley Cooper; despite having an infamous reputation.

She’s played a sexually harassed Fox News anchor, a feisty, determined and ill-fated figure skater, a comic book misfit, an aspiring con artist, a wildly ambitious 1920s sexpot, a hardcore Wall Street wife, Queen Elizabeth I – and actress Sharon Tate. Whatever the role calls for, Margot Robbie has risen to the challenge, stealing scenes and hearts and growing into a bonafide movie star while working alongside, and for, some of Hollywood’s finest actors and filmmakers. Born July 2, 1990 in Dalby, Queensland, Australia, Robbie has steadily built her resume’ over the course of 15 years, rising from TV series guest spots to feature starring roles that put her alongside the likes of Christian Bale and Brad Pitt in two movies released in 2022, “Amsterdam” and “Babylon,” respectively. And “Barbie” became one of the biggest movies of 2023.

Jeremy Renner has played many different characters throughout his career. He has been an archer, a politician, a CIA assassin, and even an experimental physicist. Through these, he has gained a reputation as one of the most beloved and respected actors in Hollywood. He has worked with talented filmmakers like the Russo Brothers, Denis Villeneuve, and even David O. Russell.
Jeremy Renner was drawn to Taylor Sheridan’s sensitive writing on Wind River | The Weinstein Company
However, it would seem that there was one filmmaker who stood out for him. In 2017, the actor starred in a film called Wind River, alongside his Marvel co-stars, Elizabeth Olsen and Jon Bernthal. It would seem that working on this movie was a transformative experience for Renner, and all thanks go to Taylor Sheridan.
Jeremy Renner Had a Special Connection With His Character
Wind River follows a story that is concerningly frequent and unheard of.

One of the most lauded events of the Tribeca Festival, Chanel returned to host the 17th annual Tribeca Artists Dinner on Monday, June 10 at The Odeon in Manhattan, moving locations from Balthazar last year. The intimate evening honors the artists who have contributed original artwork to the festival’s award-winning filmmakers.
The carpet always feels like some sort of family reunion at this event, where much of Hollywood assembles in what feels like a — though glamorous — laid-back dinner to celebrate how far the film scene of NYC has come as it regenerated itself after 9/11. IndieWire favorites Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, Katie Holmes, Blake Lively, Jude Law, Trevor Noah, Mark Ronson, Camila Mendes, Selma Blair, Colman Domingo, Chloe Fineman, Olivia Munn, Dianna Agron, Hannah Einbinder, Hari Nef, Lizzy Caplan, Lily Rabe, Natasha Lyonne, Victoria Pedretti, David Harbour, David O. Russell, and Francesca Scorsese were just a handful of the many attendees.

Jude Law has been teasing audiences for decades now. His looks, charm, tenacity, and willingness to channel that success in interesting, unexpected directions have always been admirable. But one of his riskier pivots — perhaps only in retrospect — was David O. Russell’s 2004 ensemble black comedy, “I Heart Huckabees.” Co-starring Dustin Hoffman, Lily Tomlin, Jason Schwartzman, Mark Wahlberg, Naomi Watts, and many others, the film follows a group of interconnected lives all being investigated by “existential detectives.” Law had admired Russell and, unlike some of Russell’s past players, continues a relationship with the auteur to this day, but knows the film and the process of making it can be viewed with a negative light.
“The experience of making that film was bizarre,” said Law in a recent interview with Vanity Fair. “We were all there doing it for nothing, just loving being in each other’s company and playing. I remember fantasizing,...

Mark Wahlberg is a Dorchester, Massachusetts native who has brought to life, in the past two decades, a wide variety of characters that have gone far beyond fighting CG robots in the “Transformers” movies.
Wahlberg got his start as a rapper, as the frontman for the group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, but it was his good looks rather than musical ability that brought him notoriety as the premier Calvin Klein underwear model in the 1990s. From there it was a quick jump to movies, with the young actor getting his big break as the lead in Paul Thomas Anderson‘s “Boogie Nights” in 1997.
Since then Wahlberg has been working steadily with such A-list directors as Martin Scorsese, Peter Jackson (“The Lovely Bones”), Tim Burton (“Planet of the Apes”), Ridley Scott (“All the Money in the World”) and David O. Russell.

David O. Russell was having a moment about a decade back, with a series of releases that Made him a director well worth paying attention to. The highlight was American Hustle, a black comedy focused on crime and corruption. It boasts a strong cast, led by Christian Bale, Amy Adams, and Bradley Cooper, but nearly stealing the show was Jennifer Lawrence, still in the early stages of her career.
The film, out now in a new 4K Steelbook format from Sony Home Entertainment, is well worth a look if you missed it in 2013. A year earlier, Cooper and Lawrence danced their way into our hearts with the charming Silver Linings Playbook, and Russell brought them back for this caper, pitting them against one another.
Cooper is an FBI agent who forces con artists Bale and Adams into creating a sting operation intending to take down the May of Camden, New Jersey.

After David O. Russell joined the biographical sports drama, he rewrote the script. Christian Bale was cast in the role of Mark Wahlberg’s character’s brother, replacing Damon.

Updated with latest: Selena Gomez revealed the Wizards of Waverly Place sequel title at Disney’s upfront Tuesday. The spinoff will be called Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. She also shared two first-look images which can be found below.
Deadline broke the news of the sequel series in January. Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas serve as writers and executive producers. Andy Fickman directed and executive-produced the pilot and will direct multiple episodes.
The original show ran four seasons, winning Emmys and doing well in the ratings until star Selena Gomez decided it was time to graduate to more adult roles. The show ran from 2007-2012, with Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie also airing on the Disney Channel in 2009. The cast returned for a stand-alone television special, The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex, in 2013.
There have been rumors of another reunion ever since and now, after a decade, Disney is making them a reality.

The goat is him. That sounds a little strange, but that’s what has happened with the title of the upcoming Jordan Peele-produced horror movie. Once titled Goat (as in “greatest of all time”), the movie has since been retitled Him. It, too, has been given an official release date of September 19th, 2025.
Him was announced earlier this year, a few months before the most recent Jordan Peele production, Monkey Man, hit theaters. With that movie doing well with critics, Universal and Monkeypaw Productions are putting even more stock in him.
Him, which has been described as “an anti-sports horror movie”, was actually part of the 2022 Black List, the annual survey which reveals the best unproduced screenplays of any given year. Then known as Goat, Him has the following plot, as per The Black List: “A promising first-round draft pick is invited to train at the private compound of...

James Cameron gave one of the biggest blockbusters ever with the disaster epic Titanic. The film, which was a love story set during the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, was the highest-grossing film of all time until it was surpassed by his own film Avatar. Cameron’s film became a pop cultural milestone for its depiction of the disaster and has become one of the most adored romances.
While Cameron has delivered blockbusters that have been great pieces of art, he is known for running a tight ship on set. Many stories have come out of his autocratic behavior and his long schedules without breaks. Titanic actor Bernard Hill mentioned that he used to be very hard on actors and crew members who did not give their full potential for the film.

After the March 28 friends, family, and industry screening for Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” at Universal’s CityWalk AMC in IMAX, reactions were wild. Some said it was his most ambitious film since “Apocalypse Now;” another described it to Puck as “batshit crazy.” Made for $120 million and bankrolled entirely by Coppola through the sale of one of his vineyards, it incorporates new VFX techniques — ones, the filmmakers hope, will be seen on the biggest screens possible.
For that to happen, it will need a major theatrical deal and the filmmakers are now in talks with distributors and major studios. However, those entities have been particularly risk averse these days — and while Coppola is a legend, he hasn’t made a commercial success in three decades.
The film’s stars include Adam Driver, Aubrey Plaza, and Giancarlo Esposito; maybe, say, Paramount or Universal want to be back in the Coppola business.

Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy is one of the most significant works in Christian Bale’s filmography.
