Advice to boaters

BOATERS should take care on the River Thames over Easter, the Environment Agency has warned.

The river is still fast-flowing in places following the winter floods and the agency recommends owners check conditions before going afloat. Signs advising boaters of the current warning status are displayed at every lock.

The bank holiday weekend traditionally marks the start of the boating season.
