Yet again targeting the high-level football talent in its own backyard, SMU has landed a commitment from McKinney Class of 2025 cornerback Zay Gentry.
After receiving offers from the likes of Baylor, Auburn, Oklahoma and others, the 6-foot, 165-pound three-star announced his decision on social media Sunday.
SMU gets its third commitment of the weekend.

A top-100 recruit in Texas, Gentry recorded 41 tackles and two interceptions as a junior while also competing in track and field.
DeSoto safety Sael Reyes also committed to SMU on Sunday, as the Mustangs load up on talent to make their first few years in the ACC as seamless as possible.
