'They wanted to spoil me': First Dates' Desiree Hurwood, 28, tried to find love on a SUGAR DADDY website... but the older men were after 'no commitment'

A glamorous First Dates contestant has revealed she went looking for love on SugarDaddies.com, only to be disappointed when the men didn't want to commit.

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Desiree Hurwood admitted she signed up to the dating website which connects rich older men with attractive young women.

The retail manager, 28, said: 'The guys were around 55 and though they wanted to spoil me, I quickly realised it wasn't for me. I put that in the bad decision box.'

She explained: 'One of my friends met someone on Sugar Daddies and they dated for a couple of months so I thought I would give it a go.

'That's what it had got to. Nothing was working so I thought, why not.' 

Desiree, who has a Star Now talent profile and previously took part in The Miss Hooters Australia 2010 competition, claimed she was unlucky in love.

After trying out several dating websites and apps, including Tinder, she decided the most sensible option would be applying to go on TV's First Dates.

'I've tried everything else, so why not?' she told the publication. 

It comes after First Dates returned for a second Australian season to rather disappointing ratings.
