Francia Raisa was 'in shock' over endometriosis diagnosis that put her at 'very high risk' for complicated pregnancies... three years after freezing her eggs

10 months after revealing her polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis, Francia Raísa just revealed she's been diagnosed with two more conditions, which will make motherhood that much harder to achieve.

The Grown-ish alum - turning 36 next month - met with a new gynecologist and she's now being treated for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and endometriosis, in which the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus.

'In the past two weeks, things took a serious turn,' Francia - who boasts 3M social media followers - wrote on Wednesday.

'[Endometriosis] puts me at a very high risk of having complicated pregnancies in the future. I was in shock. What strikes me the most is that it's not enough that I take care of my health and body.

'With all the advances in medicine, there still isn't enough research being done into women's specific health care to really understand how women like me are able to ensure our opportunity to have a healthy life and family.'

Raísa (born Almendárez) continued: 'Instead, our rights as women, including access to critical (and sometimes necessary) health care, are being attacked - and it pi**es me off!'

The How I Met Your Father alum did not hesitate when Vice President Kamala Harris asked her to participate in a fireside chat about women's rights and reproductive freedoms in Phoenix, AZ on Monday.

Justices Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, and Brett Kavanaugh all declared Roe v. Wade was 'precedent' and 'settled law' while under oath during their confirmation hearings, but then promptly overturned it in 2022 with Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas.

'I needed to hear about her work on this issue and where we all needed to focus our advocacy. The neglect we already face as women in health care is insane, and I can't stand by while laws are passed that limit our rights and freedom - from women's and LGBTQ+ rights, to access to education and immigration,' Francia explained.

'Let's keep up the fight, people - if not for you, for your mothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, best friends, and all the women in your life who deserve to live with dignity and respect!'

Raísa - who famously donated a kidney to pop star Selena Gomez in 2017 - has always wanted to become a mother and even froze and retrieved 28 eggs back in 2021.

'I don't want to settle. I really want to wait for the right person. I really want to be friends with someone first and really know you, because I don't want to have to worry about that again ever,' the San Fernando Valley Girl said on The Talk at the time.

'Now I'm not in a rush to, you know, get into a relationship because my "biological clock is ticking."'
