Vanessa Feltz has recalled the terrifying moment her daughter Allegra was rushed to hospital after suffering a fall which left in a pool of blood.

The broadcaster, 62, detailed the incident during an appearance on Wednesday's This Morning, explaining that Allegra, 36, had fallen over an 'uneven slab of pavement' while walking home from work.

She told hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley: 'She went flying on an uneven slab of pavement.

'She hurtled through the air and we think that she hit her face as she fell on another sticking up, jagged, uneven slab of pavement.'

Cat and Ben were visibly shocked as Vanessa shared her daughter was 'extremely badly injured' and was left lying in 'a spreading pool of her own blood.'

She said: 'Nobody knew which bit of her was bleeding,' and revealed Allegra had to be rushed to hospital in an ambulance.

As Vanessa detailed her ordeal, she shared that Allegra was undergoing an MRI scan, as its believed that she has broken her elbow in two different places.

She added that Allegra  suffered a laceration under the chin which needed stitches, as well as a black eye and cuts all over her face and body, and that her hand and shoulder may also be broken.

Vanessa went onto share that Allegra returned home at midnight that evening, and described her daughter as 'a broken bird.'

The star appeared on This Morning to discuss the dangers of uneven pavements and Ben asked whether she'd received any feedback from the council.

Admitting she had little updates, Vanessa said: 'We've been so upset and also busy with hospitals and doctors and appointments that we haven't given it a thought yet.'

She added that her primary concern was that her daughter was still yet to know the extent of her injuries.

'I just don't want anyone else to take a fall, but also you don't want to spend all your life looking down and picking your way along the pavement like it's an obstacle course.

'You want to feel safe that you can walk along the pavement for God's sake, don't you?' Vanessa added.

Vanessa shares two daughters, Allegra, and Saskia, 35, with her ex-husband Michael Kurer.

Earlier this month it was claimed Vanessa had  split from love interest Stefan-Pierre after a slew of romantic dates.

The TV host and 'Tinder's Most Swiped Man' were said to have called it a day, remaining just friends, despite enjoying many intimate nights out together.

Vanessa and Stefan-Pierre, who recently spoke out about their blossoming relationship prior, first sparked dating rumours when they dined at renowned Sheesh restaurant in London's Mayfair.

In the wake of her split from partner Ben Ofoedu, 51, Vanessa sparked a close relationship with Stefan which has now sadly fizzled out.

According to The Sun, a source said: 'Stefan has been telling friends there’s nothing between him and Vanessa and that it was over before it begun.

He was a good distraction for her following her split from Ben, but they’re better off as friends.'

Late last month, Stefan revealed exclusively to MailOnline that 'amazing' Vanessa was a huge fan of his pheromones when she smelt his Pierre 47 aftershave, which markets at Selfridges, while they shared a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

He said: 'She's great. A gentleman never tells but she is the most amazing woman and she loves my new fragrance Pierre 47 with the pheromones. We had a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon blanc with dinner.

Vanessa and Stefan made their red carpet debut together in February as they posed together at the Vindication Swim premiere.

Speaking to The Mirror last year, Vanessa revealed she was keen to pursue someone her own age, confessing: 'I've just spent 17 years with a man 10 years younger, so I'm considering not dating a younger man now.

'Someone I can trust would be good and someone who meant what they said. I think it would be lovely to have somebody you could actually trust.'
