Spencer on brink after another ban
Last updated at 20:38 18 August 2007
Jamie Spencer will be
walking a tightrope this week
as he chases his second
jockeys' championship.
After receiving his second
three-day ban in 48 hours at
Newbury yesterday – for
careless riding on Scintillo in
the Usk Valley Stud Stakes -
Spencer is on the brink of a
further lengthy suspension
which could rule him out of
the title race.
Spencer, who is narrowly
ahead of Seb Sanders, has
now been banned for a total
of 26 days in the past 12
months.
