Harrison secures comeback victory

Audley Harrison returned from a 12-month lay-off to secure a seventh-round win over American trial-horse Robert Davis in Temecula, California.
The Olympic gold medallist had not fought since sustaining a hand injury when beating the previously undefeated Tomasz Bonin, of Poland, a year ago.
But the 33-year-old was straight into his stride as he floored Davis in the opening round.
Davis, who had won 31 of his 37 previous fights and has been in with heavyweight contenders Joe Mesi, Michael Grant and Lance Whitaker, battled back bravely.
But it was Harrison who landed with the majority of the bigger punches, with his left hook scoring comfortably.
Then in round seven, Harrison opened up his full arsenal, throwing a series of left and right hooks that forced the referee to stop the fight.
"It's been difficult for me to have to sit out this past year to heal my injury," said Harrison, who took his pro record to 18-0. "I am just glad to be back.
"Once I relaxed and figured out my opponent's tactics, I was able to use my jab, look for opportunities and take advantage of them when I could."
Harrison will now return to Las Vegas and head straight back to training as he looks to finally break through into big time in 2005.
