Police in the US made the discovery about his apparent fixation with the British royal after searching Crooks' home and seizing his electronic devices in the aftermath of his attack in Pennsylvania last Saturday. A school bus driver has lost his job after footage emerged of an expletive-laden rant directed at misbehaving pupils on a school trip. The unnamed driver threatened to 'punch' students from Ark Alexandra Academy in Hastings, East Sussex, if they did not put seatbelts on as they returned from London's Science Museum. This is the alarming moment an aggressive passenger jumped out of a car on the M25 motorway and yelled at a driver in a bizarre road rage incident. This is the moment armed police arrested a man after he murdered a love rival in the street - as the victim's toddler watched in horror. A family's holiday ended in tragedy when a mother-of-three choked to death before being found by her teen daughter just six weeks before her wedding day. A teenager followed a 15-year-old girl for 45 minutes before stabbing her to death down an alleyway. a court heard. The boy confronted and attacked Holly Newton, inflicting 36 injuries with a kitchen knife he had had brought with him. Another teenage boy was alerted by Holly's screams and tried to pull the attacker off by getting him in a headlock but was also stabbed, Newcastle Crown Court was told. Despite his injuries he ran to get help and members of the public intervened to stop and detain the teenager, who was arrested at the scene by police.

Five Just Stop Oil protesters, including one of its co-founders, have been jailed for conspiring to organise protests that blocked the M25 motorway. Roger Hallam, an environmental activist who was one of the founding members of the group, agreed to causing disruption to traffic by having protesters climb onto gantries over the motorway for four successive days in November 2022. The 58-year-old was joined by Daniel Shaw, 38, Louise Lancaster, 58, Lucia Whittaker De Abreu, 35, and Cressida Gethin, 22, as they were all sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on Thursday. Hallam was sentenced to five years' imprisonment while the remaining four defendants were each handed four years' imprisonment. Prosecutors alleged the protests, which saw 45 people climb up the gantries, led to an economic cost of at least £765,000, while the cost to the Metropolitan Police was more than £1.1 million. They also allegedly caused more than 50,000 hours of vehicle delay, affecting more than 700,000 vehicles, and left the M25 'compromised' for more than 120 hours. Prosecutor Jocelyn Ledward KC told the court that a police officer suffered a concussion and bruising after being knocked off his motorbike in traffic caused by one of the protests on November 9, 2022.

The chief suspect in the fatal stabbing of British Rolls-Royce designer Ian Cameron in Germany last week has been arrested in France following an international manhunt - but the motive remains a mystery. Cameron, 74, was found dead at his £3 million mansion in Lake Ammersee in Upper Bavaria on Friday evening. The Serbian suspect, who fled to France from Germany before his arrest, is a tall Caucasian man who sports closely cropped blond hair and a short beard, and was seen hours before Cameron's death at a supermarket less than a mile from the murder scene wearing a grey T-shirt and blue trousers. CCTV footage from the crime scene later showed an unidentifiable man wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, light-coloured trousers, gloves and a dark red backpack. Investigators conducting a search of the surrounding area after Cameron was found dead discovered the backpack containing both sets of clothes - suggesting the elusive assailant had changed his garments a second time after the crime to avoid detection.

Chaos has erupted on a residential street in the northern city after police were called to a disturbance involving 'agency workers and children' - with a police car overturned and a double decker bus sent up in flames. Shocking video footage circulating online shows large crowds of people gathered in the Harehills area of the northern city, where thugs overturned and smashed up a police car with scooters, prams and bikes. Locals were also seen running towards a fire started in the middle of the road with a large fridge, which they hurled onto the fire as locals cheered.
