Ernie Galito, business development director of Atkins Kroll Inc., was elected as the chairman of the board of the Guam Chamber of Commerce.

The largest business organization on Guam on Wednesday announced its slate of officers for the 2024 administrative year.

Here are the newly elected officers for the Guam Chamber of Commerce:

  • Chairman: Ernie Galito, business development director of Atkins Kroll Inc.
  • Vice chairman: Tae Oh, vice president of Vantage Advertising
  • Secretary and treasurer: Juan Carlos Benitez, president of Washington Pacific Economic Development Group Inc.

Effective Jan. 17, the Chamber’s 2024 Executive Committee will additionally be comprised of:

  • Immediate past chairman Edward Untalan, executive vice president/Guam CNMI region manager of First Hawaiian Bank
  • Special executive committee member Phillip Santos, account executive of Matson Navigation Company
  • Catherine Castro, Guam Chamber of Commerce president

“We are excited to work with our newly elected officers, our board directors, and our membership as we mark our centennial year as a Chamber in 2024,” Castro said. “Through collaboration with our community partners, we look forward to addressing the unique opportunities and challenges that shape our home and together build a stronger, more vibrant island economy.”
