Introduced to this book when my son was in preschool. He is now in his 30's! I purchased the board book for a grandson and he enjoys it as much as his dad did. It's a must have for your child's library.
A favorite!

A favorite among children and adults! Large print and colorful pictures. Great for a classroom and whole group reading. Would definitely recommend! Worth the money!

How delightful that this book has been made into a board book. " Caps for sale, 50c a cap!" As you can guess this is an old book, you certainly can't buy a cap for 50c and I have not seen a peddler! It was published in 1938. But it is certainly worth including in your children's library. The mischievous monkeys who steal the peddler's caps while he sleeps, provide plenty of opportunities for adding actions to this lovely story. Plenty of repetition to appeal to young children. A board book edition means little hands can enjoy the book again and again.
good for the curious-minded child

I think this book is great for the baby/toddler who seems curious about everything, cuz it's not just the sweet little story that so many children's books are. This is more along the lines of the B'rer Rabbit books, only this is for a younger child. There's mischief and unexpected events, and it's just plain fun.
