Lovely book, but CD I ordered arrived crushed in the mail.

our book group is reading A Gentleman in Moscow. I have it on my Nook and have read it twice and recommended it. But my husband has severe Parkinsons and cannot hold a book or an electronic device in his hands. So recently we've tried to get him CDs of the book we are discussing. I ordered this book in CD. It was expensive and came all squished in a package. There are 14 or 15 discs covering the entire book. I am trying to help him use the CD player now to listen to the book.
BEST AUDIOBOOK OF 2019!!

This book and this narrator are the best, bar none. My mother and I traded off discs listening to it from the library, and we had to own it. Every word Amor Towles writes is "le mot juste" and the reader gave every word it's due. When I read it, I tended to skip along, looking for something to happen, but on audio, I just sank down and LISTENED to the beautiful story and the beautiful words. We loved the Count, he is truly a gentleman, and the world could use more of those.
It sums itself up.

Wonderful story. Thought provoking. Captures an essential piece of history. Characters to love. Narrator - over the top good.
Poignant, sad, amazing, relevant now and hopeful.

Poignant, sad, yet hopeful. Unexpected twists and turns, poetic, an incisive view of history, timeless!
