I recall that the Lodge at Illinois State Beach Park used to have a wonderful display of fossils. I wonder if it's still there? My family and I went to the beach almost every day in the summer and found some fossils of our own!

I really enjoyed reading this article. Herman is my great grandfather and Harry my great uncle. Somewhere I have pictures of my grandfather Rudolph G Kaping sitting at a rolltop desk in his real estate office in Libertyville with that thighbone taking up the entire top of his desk..
