Satay as Indonesian food is made from several pieces of meat stabbed with a bamboo stick and grilled. Satay has a unique aroma because of the diversity in total organic volatile contents. Differences in volatile compounds are also influenced by species breed and processing method. Volatilomics is a method used to ensure the authenticity of meat products through the detection, characterization, and quantification of all volatile metabolites in biological systems. This study aims to evaluate volatile profiles in beef, chicken, pork satay, and their mixtures. The volatile components of satay were extracted using the solid-phase micro extraction (SPME) method and analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) instrument. Gaharu merupakan salah satu komoditi hasil hutan bukan kayu (HHBK) di Indonesia. Bentuk gaharu beragam mulai dari bongkahan, serpih, serbuk dan minyak gaharu. Gaharu berbentuk incense yang akan mengeluarkan aroma harum jika dibakar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi komponen kimia empat (4) mutu gaharu yang ada di pasar Indonesia (kacangan B, teri B, kamedangan A dan kamedangan B). Identifikasi dilakukan dengan mengekstrak gaharu menggunakan aseton, selanjutnya ekstrak aseton gaharu difraksinasi dengan kolom kromatografi bergradien dengan eluen heksana-etil asetat. Identifikasi senyawa menggunakan kromatografi gas-spektro-fotometer massa. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan bahwa senyawa seskuiterpena terdapat pada ke empat mutu gaharu (kacangan B, teri B, kamedangan A dan kamedangan B) tetapi berbeda jenis senyawanya antar satu mutu terhadap lainnya. Pewangi atau parfum merupakan produk yang sangat banyak ditemukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Produk parfum tidak dilengkapi dengan informasi yang cukup mengenai senyawa-senyawa yang digunakan didalamnya. Hal ini menyebabkan masyarakat tidak mengetahui potensi bahaya yang terkandung dalam parfum tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis senyawa yang terdapat dalam parfum isi ulang tersebut. Analisis ini dilakukan dengan metode kromatografi gas-spektrometri massa (KG-SM). Berdasarkan hasil analisis, parfum dengan aroma yang mirip menunjukkan mengandung senyawa-senyawa yang mirip pula. Dari lima sampel yang diuji, diketahui bahwa setiap sampel mengandung sekurang-kurangnya 24 senyawa. Dari semua senyawa tersebut, baru 5 senyawa yang telah ditentukan statusnya dalam Standard IFRA, yaitu limonene dan linalool yang statusnya spesificated, benzaldehyde dan citronellol yang statusnya restricted, dan lily aldehyde yang berstatus prohibited/restricted.

This article was written well before the recent protests in Iran and addresses the chapter in A Thousand Plateaus on 'Faciality' by examining Deleuze and Guattari's proposal to 'dismantle' the abstract machine that is responsible for producing the subject's collective or group face. After examining the components of the abstract machine, including its relationship to visual perception and emotion from the perspective of American Ego Psychology, a comparison is drawn between faciality and Walter Benjamin's earlier thesis of the reproducibility of certain kinds of images in a technological or modern media society. The article concludes by outlining the three-step program of 'schizoanalysis' that Deleuze and Guattari proposed as the political objective of 'dismantling the face. “An Articulated Roman Doll in Wood found in Alba Fucens” A doll made of wood found in Alba Fucens (IT) is now preserved in the reserves of the Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle arti e Paesaggio per le province di Chieti e Pescara, Museo Paludi in Celano (L’Aquila). Its study was carried out within the framework of the research project led by the University of Fribourg “Greek and Roman articulated dolls (10th century BC/7th century AD). Archaeological and anthropological approaches”. The doll has been exceptionally preserved due to the damp conditions of the soil. This object confirms that, in addition to the widely documented ivory and bone roman dolls, wooden pupae were also used. The hairstyle on the doll’s head is a very schematized rendering of a type of hairstyle adopted in an advanced stage of the age of the emperors of the Severan dynasty and documented on the portraits of some women of the family. It is therefore possible to propose for the doll a dating to the first decades of the 3rd century AD.
