How do I properly express all my love for this guy?

I seriously cannot gust enough for this thing. It makes cooking after a long day amongst ongoing studying and work a breeze. I've named it "Kitchen Minion" for the sole reason that it cooks while I'm doing anything else but cooking. With the app on my phone I can set up my meal and then start it wherever I am in the world so that it is ready when I get home. The Smart version of the Instant Pot is WELL worth the extra few bucks.

Pros:
Convenient, oh so convenient
Soups, stews, and fish take half the time and come out evenly cooked.
Chicken breasts are never dry
The pot alerts you if there's not enough fluid in it to cook to keep you from burning your food to the bottom.
All the parts of the lid come apart for easy cleaning. The lid, its components, and the inner pot are dishwasher safe.
The power cord comes off for easy storing within the pot.
The app allows you to select a recipe and then run the recipe cooking directions. It also has a variety of manual modes that explain which settings are best depending on the food type and texture preference.
The app shows where in the cooking process it is and how much time is left.

Cons:
It is a touch challenging to get hooked up to wifi, but the directions are clear enough to follow. I wish it were more like a Bluetooth connection set up than the multi step process it is. This is the ONLY gripe I have with the machine.

Reality checks:
This is a MOIST cooker. If you're looking for a crunchy finish, you're going to have to broil that stuff after it's done in the pot.
Silicone soaks up scents. This means the inner ring will need to be replaced eventually. It's easy to find replacement rings. I've read several places that it's suggested to have a "sweet" ring and a "savory" ring to avoid mixing seasonings. I've not had an issue with my foods absorbing any flavoring from the ring. I do make sure to completely take apart the lid and its ring and scrub it off with soap and water every time I cook. The ring itself still smells even after a sanitize with white vinegar, but it doesn't rub off on the food.
Any time you cook with the pressure setting, it takes about 5-10 minutes to get up to heat so factor in a little extra time on top of whatever the the pressure cooker cooking time is.
Not all recipes "cut cooking time in half". It's more of a "you don't have to babysit your cooking" idea.

Instant Pot wifi works great and I like the idea!

My old electric pressure cooker broke down so I need another pressure cooker. Was looking at another instant pot model but found they have this wifi version so in an instant I bought this one instead. A lot of my home has been updated to smart appliances so adding this smart pot is just natural. Plus, one reason my old pressure cooker broke is one of the button stopped working. I like this idea that I dno't have to press any buttons anymore. Just control the whole pot with my cell phone. The app isn't top notch but I can live with that. There are tons of recipes in the app which is very nice. You can search for a recipe, get a shopping list, and procedures on your phone then follow the procedure, and press the "cook" button in the app once everything is in the pot. That's very neat. The cooker works just as advertised and everything came out great. It took just 20 seconds to connect to my home wifi network. I can put all the ingredients in the pot, then go to work. Before I leave work, I just click "start" in the app and the pot will start cooking, while I'm miles away. I can even check the progress of cooking on my phone from time to time. Once the cooking is done I get an alert on my phone. then I can either keep it warm or let it cool down naturally, all done on my phone.
After a few days cooking, I realized I have not tested the buttons on the cooker yet. I tried them, yep, they work, but I don't need them for now. If, God forbid, someday the wifi function breaks down, I'll need those buttons again. For now, I'll just do everything on my phone, and most likely while I'm away from home.

Wifi setup SOLVED / Android failed, iOS success

Tried at least 10 times to connect the Smart Wifi 60 to my network on Android phone (Samsung Note 9) and it failed every time. Decided to try an iPad and it connected on the 1st try. Not sure if it has anything to do with Android version (8.1.0) but was very frustrating. I have my home router setup with separate SSIDs for 2.4 and 5.0 so it was not an issue of being on the wrong wifi speed. Once I got it connected, my Android phone immediately started working and sending me alerts while I ran through the initial water test from the iPad. Closed the app on the iPad and my phone remained working.

You don't need to have the wifi Instant Pot to use the app which has some recipes shared by others. Once you have the wifi connected to your pot, the app lets you know the status; pre-heating, cooking with time info, warming with time info. Some of the functions and recipes let you start the cooking process directly from the app. I really liked the notifications alerting of each stage.

My first cook test I had it going from the pot itself, but the app said my pot was not connected. I then noticed the wifi symbol was not showing on the pot's display. I pressed Cancel, played around with the Pressure button to get the wifi symbol to turn on, and then it showed as connected on my phone. I'm assuming you may have to do this each time you power the pot on.

PERFECT hard boiled eggs with shells that peel off like butter. 1 cup water, rack in bottom, dozen eggs (can use more or less), 5 minutes HIGH pressure, 5 minutes natural release, release remaining pressure manually, put finished eggs into bowl of cold water.

10 stars product. I can cook my food at home while working at my office in different city. My Alexa can cook food for me with this. Can't ask for more, because there's nothing more i need, or possibly i could think of. Very happy. Thank you instant pot, for developing such a "smart" product.

UPDATE: This device does not support "New" optical fiber Internet WiFi... which is kinda sad, as now my device is not so very "smart" anymore 🥹😏😒. But Hopefully in future Instant Pot might launch new product version or at least system software updates or something that old device can work with new internet.
