I think you are referring to the post below which is not the OP.

Finally, after DAYS of calling the assigned detective repeatedly he answered the phone and spoke with me briefly.

He said the serial number would be in the national database.

BTW I pretty much knew who broke into my car as they went straight for my wallet/gun in a secret compartment that only they knew about...the cops were disinterested.

Oh, and the responding officer exclaimed that they wouldn't be able to get prints from my SHINY CHROME interior door handles...PFFFFFT! Every time I touch them I can see my own prints!

Yep. I confused a response with the OP's post. Sorry.

Everyone here should pick up a few of these Honeywell switches. And Honeywell should get off their ass and pay me for the endorsement.
I've had a couple of them for a couple years. They're in a box in the garage. Can't install them - wiring in the house is too old.

ok, so I FINALLY managed to get someone from the property crimes division to come out and fingerprint...only after calling and annoying them so much they needed to get me off their back. The officer even relayed the message from dispatch that i need to stop calling so much. Anywho, the prints came up as gloves, not one print could be identified. But I am having rolling shutters installed tomorrow, as well as 3 hi-def surveillance cameras. Guess it's all I can do at this point and hope my insurance co. doesn't disappoint.

Good job! Be proactive.

Sadly, it's getting worse here in Las Vegas, property crime is running rampant.

Hope you are recovering a bit from that victimized feeling hotpa2d2

Don't forget the:

BEWARE OF DOG

sign. That is the largest deterrent for potential burglars......

I've heard this, too. But shows like "It Takes a Thief" suggest otherwise. They even discount actually having the dog to back up the sign.
