Well what I have noticed is that white flight happens then diversity happens also.Clayton for example is majority black but is very diverse. Its black population mirrors thw white population in most counties where whites are the majority.

This is a disaster of a thread.

Can a mod delete this racist rubbish already?

Or is this one of those times where black people are allowed to be racist and white people aren't?

And major lulz at the burbs being more diverse. Don't get me wrong. Gwinnett has many minorities that are actually probably the majority now. But S. Forsyth? C'mon. I remember when we played S. Forsyth in football in high school. Racist blurbs a plenty.

Shutting down honest and uncomfortable conversation solves nothing. Shining a spotlight on the darkness is needed to clean the darkness.

"The Sins of South Metro"? Really? Clayton, Henry, Fayette, and even huge swatches of South Fulton are exponentially more "diverse" than any trendy Intown neighborhood I can think of by any metric (income, ethnic group, age, etc) I personally am very glad than many communities in the City of Atlanta are improving and that there has been an influx of new residents. People have moved in for a myriad of reasons that have been extensively discussed on this forum, but for someone to claim they moved in strictly for "diversity" reasons is laughable.

I'm confused by this thread. Places becoming whitier is a good thing or a bad thing?

What are you talking about? What is the darkness?

The thread isn't racist, you're probably just hiding from the fact that Atlanta is becoming less diverse with every passing year. I'm not even surprised anymore. People with privilege don't often see what minorities see. Call it an income issue if you want, but even the wealthy black areas of the city don't have the same amenities as the white areas.

I see no identity for Atlanta is my issue. For instance Nashville has country music. Charlotte has racing. What's Atlanta's identity?
