Everyone will find out Saturday morning, hours before Ohio State and Northwestern kick off at Ryan Field. Yes, ESPN’s “College GameDay” is coming to town.
Host Chris Fowler tweeted it late Saturday night, writing: “Northwestern, here we come! First time since the blizzard of ’95!”
Indeed, it will mark GameDay’s second trip to Evanston and its first since 1995, when a snowstorm before the Iowa game forced ESPN to move the set into Welsh-Ryan Arena.
Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and crew did go to Chicago in 2010 for the NU-Illinois game at Wrigley Field.
