The Reds are moving Hinds from third base to the outfield to try to keep him healthier, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. "We made a decision to get him on the field healthier," Reds farm director Shawn Pender said. "He has had problems with his legs for whatever reason in the infield. He's an offensive guy first, he's a great athlete and the more we can get him on the field, he can use his speed, his athleticism and his power."

Hinds was able to play only 54 games last season at two levels after suffering a meniscus tear in his knee. Even before last season, many contemplated a position change for Hinds. The Reds are hoping that Hinds can tap more into his power this minor-league season.
