Default 3931002 7 Blade Fan

Looking for a 3931002 7 blade clutch fan to help cool off my 66. An air conditioner was added and the the original 5 blade fan is just not moving enough air to keep it cool. I added the lower optional shroud and top radiator seal and it didn't seem to help much. Please PM me what you have and might pass on. Thanks, Don

Just out of curiosity when the AC was added did the installer also go to larger 7 1/4” crank pulley put on the AC cars? This makes the water pump spin 20% faster and was part of the cooling package, along with the 7 blade fan, fan shroud extension, radiator to hood air dam and lower radiator support seal. There is an OEM 7 blade fan for sale on eBay but they are asking $950. I don’t know how correct you want to keep the car but Derale does make a quality aftermarket 6 blade heavy duty fan blade if this is of interest to you. It is part #17118. Also, you can add a better fan clutch that spins the fan faster. I believe the OEM one was a 60% speed whereas a Hayden 2747 spins about 75%.

It was changed over to a a/c car before I bought it two years ago. I just check the pulleys size. The water pump pulley is 6-1/8 and the crank pulley is 6-1/2. It looks like I may have to change the crank pulley to a 7-1/4 and swap to a 7 blade fan. In the summer it will run hot in idle and will puke when the engine is shut off. I'll check on the fan clutch. Don

Default Another tip to better cooling

If your using an Eaton clutch fan you can increase the engagement of the blade by adjusting the front spring by rotating it clockwise to the next locking notch.
This will “connect the blade “ sooner than the stock setting.
