lmr billet t stat housing

purchased/ installed a lmr billet t-stat housing on my zo6 when i did my maggy 2.3 build back in 2018, i believe they came with a 160 t-stat? anyway called lmr today to get a new t-stat and they said they no longer make/sell this part anymore and person answering had no idea where to get a replacement. i need to find out what t -stat fits in this housing and who makes a good 160 stat.

You just need to ask them if the housing fits a LTx or LSx style t-stat, from there you have plenty of options.

Iirc I had the same issue and can’t remember how I went about resolving this on my 16 Z that was cammed /fbo with the lmr 160 tstat. Mine failed after a year and I think I bought an aftermarket t-stat and factory housing

I'm using a Katech 174*. I believe they also make a 160*. Very high quality unit. Not sure about the fitment for the housing you have. They might be able to tell you.

after a little research last night i found out lmr was using a ls3 style 160 degree t-states from motorad. i ordered a new one from amazon last night $32. arrived today. i threw it on the oven in water and it started to open at 167 degrees and fully open at 172 degrees. will drop it in tommorow! thanks for the help guys.
