CCB with 18" Wheels
Hi all. I have been contemplating swapping my iron brakes to the CCB brakes. I was curious if anyone has had first hand experience with whether particular wheels will clear with the carbon ceramic rotors. I have a set of 18x10 +35 front forged wheels and 18x12 +51 rear forged beadlocks. Has anyone with combos similar to either of these run them with the carbon ceramic brakes? I'm more concerned about the fronts that the rears. If not I'll just get the giro disc rotors. Thanks for any help that anyone can provide.

I have 18" Signatures on my CCB Z06 and no issues but many 18" (typically cast) wheels won't clear the CCBs. Seems like most forged wheels will

I've got Forgestar 18X12 bead locks for the rear of my 16 Z06. I tried putting the rears on my 19 ZR1 and the wheel weights hit the calipers on the rear. I think they could fit if I had them rebalanced with the wheel weights in a different location. I don't know about the fronts, I've never tried putting my 18X10's on the front of my 19 ZR1, but I would be surprised if they fit. They were so darn close on the rears. Please let us know if you find out differently.

Yes, the CCB's are larger on the ZR1, but I only have them on my 16 Z06 for now. you will be fine if you choose to keep the iron rotors. I did see a 19 ZR1 a couple of years ago at a SCT event that Vengeance did and he had 18X10's on the front and 18X12 bead locks on the rear. He trailered his car everywhere, so he didn't even have them balanced. He had pretty much made a race car out of it and didn't drive it on the street anymore. Or so he told me. By the way the nonbeadlock wheels have a slightly different backspacing. They tuck up in the wheel well a little better than the Beadlocks, but I like how mine sit out just a tad more.

I have 18-inch CCW C10 wheels that fit over my CCM brakes with no issues. However, not all 18-inch wheels will fit. It depends on the design of their barrels and spokes. Some 18-inch wheels will not fit no matter which brakes you have. I purchased a pair of OZ Racing 18x12 that were designed to fit on a C6Z, the inside diameter of OZ barrels is smaller than the CCW 18-inch wheel thus it touches the top of the upper ball joint on my C7Z.

I remember back when John only made the CCW Classics, before he made the CCW Mono Forge series. I was using 18x12 Classics on my C5, when I installed the Willwood Big Brake kit I had to switch the nuts from the inside of the center to the outside to clear the brakes...may have even used a small spacer.
