For many travellers, having regular trips to look forward to throughout the year is what helps get them through daily life. And thanks to a new flight subscription service launching in the Middle East, the next trip never has to be too far away.

Low-cost carrier, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, has announced the launch of subscription programme, Wizz MultiPass, on all routes to and from the UAE. Subscribers to Wizz MultiPass pay a fixed monthly price for their ticket for an entire year, including all taxes and fees, and can travel once a month on international flights from the carrier's base in Abu Dhabi, subject to black-out dates and availability.

To sign up, passengers log on, select either a one-way or return ticket, and choose to add baggage allowance and priority services if required. This allows passengers to customise their booking without the uncertainty of seasonal pricing fluctuations, according to the airline. Subscribers opting for the ticket-only price will pay $141.30 (Dh519) return per month, rising to $290.50 (Dh1,067) per month for a ticket, priority boarding and a 20kg check-in bag. Popular destinations on Wizz Air Abu Dhabi's network include: Muscat and Salalah, Alexandria and Cairo, Athens and Santorini, Larnaca, Samarkand, Tashkent, Almaty, Malé, Amman and Dammam.

The Hungarian airline, which already offers its subscription programme on routes from and to the UK, Italy, Poland and Albania, claims ticket-only subscribers can save up to 40 per cent on ticket prices on its most popular summer routes. Tickets can be booked for flights five days after service sign-up, but peak travel times such as Eid and UAE National holidays, Christmas and New Year are not included. The service cannot be cancelled during the year-long subscription period, nor can it be transferred to another passenger.

"The MultiPass… provides more flexibility for our most loyal and savvy customers, ensuring they can access our best fares year-round," Johan Eidhagen, managing director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, said. "We are proud to offer products that enable our customers to tailor their own experience.”
