“Quantum Leap” has been canceled at NBC after two seasons, Variety has confirmed.
The show served as a followup to the 1989 show of the same name starring Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell. The revamped version starred Raymond Lee as physicist Dr. Ben Song, whose attempt to restart the Quantum Leap project pioneered by Dr. Sam Beckett leads to him being trapped in different people’s lives in the past just like Beckett. As he seeks to put right what once went wrong in those lives, he “leaps” to different lives while hoping that each leap will be the leap home.

The Babylon 5 reboot receives an encouraging update from creator J. Michael Straczynski even though the show is no longer moving forward at The CW.
During a recent interview with Inverse, Straczynski shared an encouraging update on the Babylon 5 reboot:
It’s just been a matter of time and obstacles. We were going to go with the CW originally, then Warner got it back. Then, we were going to take it out to the market, but then the Discovery purchase happened and that put us on ice for a while. Then, okay, that got all cleared up. And then the strike hits. After that, right as they were literally prepared to send it out the door, the rumor about a merger between Warner and Paramount happened. So, finally, it went out to buyers about two weeks ago. We’re waiting on word from those who have been sent the pilot script.

The Cleaning Lady Season 3 will eventually have to write out Adan Canto‘s Arman. The actor tragically died after a private battle with appendiceal cancer on January 8, 2024 at just 42 years old. Filming on Season 3 began in December 2023, but Canto was waiting to return to set until after receiving treatments. He sadly didn’t have the chance to film anything for what was supposed to be an Arman-heavy third season before his death. The ground. That’s the dream. Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) first spoke those words in voiceover narration on March 19, 2014, when The 100’s pilot episode aired… and 101-counting-Bellamy (Bob Morley) juvenile delinquents set foot on an irradiated Earth to the tune of “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons. Over seven seasons of characters fighting tooth and nail for survival, fan-favorite romances blossomed, impossible choices made it clear there were no good guys, and levers were repeatedly pulled in season finales. We chatted with Morley and Taylor about the process of joining and filming The 100 a decade ago, and what the show means to them today. Morley said he could have read for the character of Finn (Thomas McDonnell), but he ultimately decided to audition for Bellamy. While he said the casting process was “by the book,” aside from Eli Goree [who played Wells Jaha], he didn’t meet his future castmates until the show’s inaugural table read.

Netflix is at or near the top of both Nielsen and Luminate’s streaming rankings every week, but achieved that with some titles that differ from its usual fare during the March 29-April 3 viewing window.
As expected, “3 Body Problem” remained the most-watched streaming original series of the week per Luminate with 964.1 million minutes watched (an estimated 3.6 million views) — unsurprising, as the title is the follow-up from “Game of Thrones” helmers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, who created the show alongside Alexander Woo.

Drake Bell is healing alongside Rider Strong.
Strong, who became close friends with dialogue coach Brian Peck after meeting on “Boy Meets World,” was one of the many actors who wrote a letter in defense of Peck’s character when Bell accused him of sexual assault in 2003.
At the time, the victim of the assault was listed as John Doe, but Bell came forward revealing it was him in Investigation Discovery’s “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.”
Now, more than 20 years later, Bell and Strong have connected. “I just had the most amazing conversation with @RiderStrong we are all healing together.

Alison Sweeney has been acting since she was a child and is opening up about her experience in the wake of the bombshell Quiet on Set docuseries about the toxic culture at Nickelodeon in the 1990s and early 2000s. “I completely have so much compassion… my God, these heartbreaking stories are just devastating and I can see how it could have happened,” Sweeney told Daily Mail. “But I’m just grateful that that’s not my story.” However, she recalled a childhood moment when her mom, Polly Sweeney, “saw something” on set and left with Sweeney immediately. “There was one situation, one time where my mom saw something and she was like, ‘We’re leaving right now, we’re not doing that,” the actress revealed. She added, “My parents just didn’t allow for that, for me to be exposed to anything inappropriate when I was child, and they never left me alone with anybody,...

Three former late-night stars — or, apparently, “kings” — are sharing a stage together later this year.
Jay Leno, Craig Ferguson, and Arsenio Hall are presenting a night of standup that’s being billed as the “Kings of Late Night.” The trio will perform at the retro-themed San Diego County Fair on June 21, and again at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA, on September 28.
While some might hesitate to call anyone but Johnny Carson a “king” of the genre, the three comics are certainly some of the biggest names in late-night history.
Leno helmed NBC’s Tonight Show twice — from 1992-2009, and again from 2010-2014. Ferguson hosted the CBS 12:30 franchise The Late Late Show from 2005-2014, and Hall’s syndicated Arsenio Hall Show ran from 1989-1994, with a short-lived revival between 2013-2014.
While there are only two dates currently on the books, we could see more, as the three comics have hit the road together before.

They don’t make kids programming like they used to. It used to be that nearly every animated kids title came with jokes for the adults to get and the kids to grow into, in addition to age-appropriate gags and life lessons for the younger viewers. Nowadays, kids programming doesn’t seem to reflect a belief that young viewers can get a well-written joke. But that’s not the case with Monsters at Work. The Disney animated series, which debuts its second season on Friday, April 5 on Disney Channel and Friday, May 5 on Disney+, has original Monsters, Inc. stars Billy Crystal and John Goodman voicing Mike Wazowski and Sulley once more. Crystal tells TV Insider that the little green guy (who he calls “CBS walking”) is his favorite character he’s ever played. Crystal and his co-stars all sang the praises of this series to TV Insider, saying it’s...

Inspired by the golden era of film noir, this stylish contemporary drama stars Colin Farrell as private detective John Sugar, who has a secret so unexpected, the revelation will make you spit-take your bourbon. “Sugar is a fascinating collision of impulses. He can be chivalrous and kind and emotionally open but also violent and intense and impenetrable,” says Sugar executive producer Simon Kinberg. “There’s a naive way he looks at the darkest corners of our world, and that perspective is linked to the show’s big question of who Sugar is and what he’s hiding.” Farrell says he was initially drawn to the role because Sugar wasn’t bitter like most film noir gumshoes. “John Sugar has this optimism, this belief that human beings are fundamentally good, which a very questionable belief when we see the world that we live in,” the actor says. “Every case he works on has personal meaning.

For 30 years it stood outside The Ed Sullivan Theatre, now it’s at a fan’s home.
Earlier this week David Letterman personally delivered a section from his old show’s marquee to a fan in New Jersey. Letterman is seen posing in front of it in an image posted his social media channels Friday morning.
We’re told a crew from Letterman’s YouTube channel tagged along, and that a video will be posted sometime next week.
It was last fall that Letterman and his former bandleader Paul Shaffer jointly announced a sweepstakes benefitting Habitat For Humanity, with the marquee as the grand prize. Letterman has been a longtime supporter of the nonprofit that helps build and improve homes for low income families.
All told, the sweepstakes raised over $100,000. It also apparently had the side benefit of helping Letterman unload the huge 8ft x 20ft sign that had been...

Cannes — For years, reports of MipTV’s terminal decline were somewhat exaggerated. Now, however, they’re real. On March 26, Rx France, organizers of MipTV, announced the launch of Mip London, over Feb. 23-28, 2025. MipTV’s 2024 edition will be its last.
