Lists related to All About Eve
The films won't save in the proper order, but these are the films, regardless of order.
Just the ones I've seen, of course.
IMDb only allows 250 films at a time,so i have marked each list from where they would start.I am not a movie critic just a lover of film and have seen and rated over 5000 movies.Lists are always subjective and doing a list of 1000 even more so,but that's part of the fun.My list will probably not appeal to the modern film lover, since i have very few movies from the last 30 years on my top 250,but if you keep looking you will begin to see more and more newer films.Remember this is my list,so if you don't like i dare you to make your own.:)
...that I've witnessed...
The Films I currently own in no particular order (films are added every so often)
This kind of list cannot be closed. It may move each day I see a new movie... I only know that these films did change the way I see the world.
Here are my favorite feature films, shown in chronological order.
My personal list of the greatest films ever made, of which I have seen.
These movies "changed" my life...
I sorted them by year.
Feel free to suggest 1 or 2 movies you really like! ;)
I'm damn younger than 40 and wanted to have 1 movie per year but it's damn too hard to cut ;)
EDIT: Not updating this anymore. See www.letterboxd.com.
have seen 13 of these before but need fresh viewing
La condición humana en 24 cuadros por segundo
They're not masterpieces, but just my favorite ones. It's a collection of films that successfully entertains me. (It does not have a particular order, I simply add films here sometimes)
Movies to get and watch when they come out on Bluray.
Some obvious, some surprises. These should be seen by everyone
Here is a list of movies about theater and theater actors, which I watched. Period: Golden Age Hollywood (mostly).
The Greatest Movies I Have Ever Seen
Best Movies ever made. Just an opinion and this could be subjective, so respect it as I´ll respect your opinion. Regards
this is a list of films that I gave ten stars to on Imdb...
List in order of my favourite 1950's film.
Essentially, just my all time favorite movies. Doesn't necessarily double as what I might consider to be the "best" movies out there, though a lot on the list are indeed acclaimed, each film means a lot to me personally, despite what others may or may not think about it.
My favorite movies of 1950
A list of all best picture oscar winners ranked in my personal order.
This list has movies that I’ve seen and I think that they are at least good (and some of them masterpieces). I also believe that they are “must see movies” and obviously are not waste of time. I hope you will enjoy them!
Im 17 years old, and this is how many Best Pictures that I have watched so far
For more than 60 years, I have been watching films in movie houses, on TV - first broadcast, then video, now DVD. I have thought about and started lists of those movies I have seen and those the movies I really liked. I have a data base file that contains more than 900 films. Rather than start with that long list I took David Thomson's "Have You Seen . . . ." which lists Thomson's 1000 favorite films as a start point to make my own list.
A list comprising of the best, most groundbreaking movies from different genres.
in order. some of them are dramas or even tragic but what I have in mind is the humor level, in some cases not in the entire film just in some scenes.
This is a list of the best picture winners, 1 newest, 83 first
a list of great films over the decades
An extensive list of all the films I have in my collection.
Not claiming any of these are(or aren't) great just simply a list of my personal favorites.
Started recording March 5th, 2011.
I am aware that the availibility of the movies change quite often but i will do my best to regulate my list accordingly. if you guys want to give a mesage at the bottom notifying me if they are no longer instant, that would be excellent.
include almost all of the masterpieces... (NTVMSNBC)
This is a personal list of my favorite American films, it is, and always will be, a work in progress.
INTERESTING FILM THAT I 'LL FIND A WAY TO WATCH SOON.
Because the ordering starts to become inconsistent after about the top 25, I've decided to just list them in order of the year they were released, starting with 2010 (nothing mind-blowing having yet been released in 2011. YET.)
Please feel free to tell me how genius, brilliant and comprehensive my list is ;-)
(or if there are any glaring omissions ;-)
I'm beginning to discover how good classic movies are and these are the ones that I'm interested in seeing based on their descriptions. Feel free to make any comments or suggestions!

I fell in love with movies when I saw SCREAM in 1997 when I was almost 13 years old. It blew my mind. I then sought out all of the movies mentioned in SCREAM. That led to subscribing to horror magazines. I've since seen SCREAM over 200 times (it's my favorite series). I then branched out into all genres. Then I became intelligent enough to work the internet, found IMDB 10 years ago, and have been using it as my bible ever since - studying directors mostly (hunting down all the films of my favorite directors). Then I got a job at a video store and attempted to do a "Tarantino" - see every movie in the store as they came out, writing little reviews for each one.
That's my story as to why I've seen so many movies.
My creed: I'd rather watch a bad movie than no movie at all.

I have tried to avoid adding Hindi films to the list to keep the number manageable.
5th Edition. My favourite movie in the 1001 is Aliens. I have other movies I like more, but they didn't make the list (see my other list - My Top 25).
My average across the 1001 is 6.8, IMDb is 7.7.
You should read the book, but read the entries after you have seen the film as there are spoilers in the text.
Movies from the top 250 i haven't seen yet or have to rewatch.
A personal journey into the classics of cinema
Some of my favourites from the older era of movies, movies made before 1970.
My listing of the actresses who haven given the greatest screen performances.
I am trying to watch all the movie from imdb top 250 list. I have one problem though. I can't watch the war movie.
The classic era of cinema. Here are the first blockbusters like "Ben-Hur" and "Gone with the wind" which are for me the best films ever made. You can see the work of the great directors like: William Wyler, Frank Capra, David Lean, John Ford, Elia Kazan, Alfred Hitchcock, John Huston, Orson Welles, Billy Wilder, Vittorio De Sica, Fred Zineman, Federico Fellini and many more. You can see stars like: Humphrey Bogart, James Stewart, Marlon Brando, Ingrid Bergman, Gregory Peck, Katharine Hepburn, Clark Gable, Audrey Hepburn, Bette Davis, Vivien Leigh. The cinema in that time is very romantic, santimental and everything is depend from the actors.

Films that made movie history
More of the 150 most important films of the twentieth century,

Those I know i want to watch but haven't found the right moment for it. I respect them enough to hold them for a suitable time.
This is a list of the vintage movies I have on DVD. Written mostly for personal use. By 'vintage' I mean 1930-1969.
Movies I'd like to see at some point in time.
This is my personal top movies list. It will be edited every time I watch a movie.

Movies that I saw in July, in order, from the best to the worst
I decided to make my own personal top 250.
My list of the best movies I've seen of each year from 1915 to present.
I picked specific films where I thought the female lead brought the picture to life.
An easy to read IMDb version of Steven Spielberg’s Curriculum, a list of 206 films you should supposedly see in order to work with Steven Spielberg. Whether or not this list actually comes from Spielberg himself, it is still a list of films that everyone should see before they die. I have seen over a thousand films, and I still don't even come close (check out my list at http://www.imdb.com/list/HKPbSLb9Vjk/)!
NOTE: Don't criticize me for making another Spielberg Curriculum list if you have seen others on IMDb. This version of the list is more or less for me. A quick access way to see which films I still have to watch. I hope you can treat it as the same.
movies, animation films, documentaries
Listed here are all the movies that I have seen. I keep it updated since being a movie freak, the list is never ending. It includes all genres and categories! So enjoy!
My favorites: 1950 - 1959
In no particular order.
Honorable mentions: Chinatown, Persona, Barry Lyndon, Annie Hall, The Royal Tenenbaums.
In chronological order. These performances have all portrayed genuine emotion in an extremely nuanced way that sticks with you long after the first viewing.
A lot of my favorites are from 2000 on because of the fact that I really enjoy the new wave of subtle performances that have become more prevalent in cinema. I also have much to see from past years.
This list can be changed anytime.
Most films are directed by Chaplin (7), Kubrick (7), Altman (3), Coppola (3), Ford (3), Keaton (3), Scorsese (3) and Welles (3)
An updated list of the American Film Institute's Top 100 films.
Two revered critics of cinema, both of whom have roots in Chicago. They tackle cinema from two unique and very different perspectives; Roger Ebert is undoubtedly the most popular name in film criticism, while Rosenbaum often languishes is semi-obscurity. Each has published his own definitive list of cinema, Ebert's
"Great Movies" currently containing 392 gems, while Rosenbaum's
"Essential Films" list has approximately 1,018 diamonds in the rough.
Over the years, the two critics have had many disagreements, most sensationally disputing over the career of the departed Ingmar Bergman. (See Rosenbaum's unkind treatment
here and
here, as well as Ebert's response
here.) Yet they have always maintained the respect of the other, and never let anything obscure their vigilant passion for the cinematic arts.
Now I present to you the magnificent films which have garnered deserved recognition from both parties. Indeed this is a compendium of films which have made it onto both critics' lofty lists.
Organized by year of release (earliest to most recent, and subsequently in alphabetical order).
Movies I have seen and recommend !
Listed by rank
Show airdate: 6/16/98
"Beginning in March 2010," writes
whatculture.com, "
Steven Soderbergh decided to document his cultural diet for the year..." This includes slightly less than 100 films (two of his own), as well as various books and TV shows.
However this list is focused specifically on the films he watched over a year's time, to the exclusion of all else, and presented in the order he watched them. If you are interested in some of the other art forms Soderbergh consumed during that time period, please read the following .pdf file:
http://media40.wnyc.net/media/resources/2011/Apr/06/Soderberghs_list.pdf Also be sure to check out the original article
here.Of course there are also countless other links which give detail and opinion about Soderbergh's "cultural diet", but I will leave it up to you to investigate further.
All in all, I had to do some slight guesswork and an omission here and there (for instance, I could not find "The Perils of Priscilla" on IMDb), but in the end I rather like this quirky list. It's an interesting experiment.
a list with the movies i love
Read my short reviews as I watch films here: http://jerrysmovieblog.blogspot.com/
My ranking of the movies that won an Oscar for Best Picture.
"The great art of films does not consist in descriptive movement of face and body, but in the movements of thought and soul transmitted in a kind of intense isolation."
- Louise Brooks
All these movies got a rating of 7 or above from me. Some may be blatantly obvious choices, others less so, but all left a lasting impression on me.
I have only been seriously watching movies for about a year now, so I am not a movie buff in any sense of the word. I am aware that there are many more films and directors out there that I still need to watch and discover for myself. My to-watch list is sheer endless and grows every day... suggestions are always welcome.
List is in alphabetical order and will be updated frequently.
My personal favorites of movies made from 1950 to 1959.
this ia list of movies that i want to buy.
This is list of my favorite movies that rate 8~10. This list is not a ranking, so please never mind about the number. There is no specific order. Just see what movies are in this list. This list will be updated forever.
100 years of movies, 1898-1998.
All movies: theatrical, TV, direct-to-video, and documentaries that I have seen. This list will tend to grow. [Some of the features are not listed alphabetically because I listed them under another name they are known as which is found in quotation marks in the films description box. (i.e. Instead of "Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein" it would be known as "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" so instead of being listed under the letter 'B' it would be classified under 'A')]
If there are any discrepancies, please let me know.
My collection of films, tv series, documentaries, concerts, on DVD and Blu-Ray
