The 89th annual Academy Awards offered a night of heartfelt acceptance speeches, irreverent humor, potent political commentary, and arguably the most shocking finish in Oscar history — all of which became instant fodder for social media. Here’s a look at some of the evening’s most talked about moments.

Naturally, conversation on Facebook and Twitter was dominated by the Best Picture mix-up that saw La La Land announced as the winner, only to be corrected and replaced by Moonlight.

On Twitter, Moonlight‘s big win accounted for the most tweeted moment of the show, while the incorrect announcement of La La Land was the third most tweeted moment. The Best Picture mix-up also ranked as the most talked about Oscar moment on Facebook.

Twitter’s second most active moment of the show was when host Jimmy Kimmel tweeted to President Trump. The fourth and fifth most tweeted moments were Viola Davis and Emma Stone‘s respective wins for Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress.

Rounding out the top five most talked about moments on Facebook were Kimmel’s opening monologue, presenter Gael García Bernal’s remarks denouncing “any form of wall that wants to separate us,” Kimmel’s tour bus stunt, and Mahershala Ali’s win for Best Supporting Actor.
