No longer includes the Wire. Every single story is a finance story. There are a couple dozen catagories, but they are all meaningless. For instance, the "Technology" category is just progress reports of how various tech companies are faring in the market place. Update: Distracting ads cover most of the screen. Only a few sentences appear at a time. Just awful.

This is the least functional news app I've ever seen. I used to love watching Reuters TV on Roku, but the app is horrible. If you miss something you can't rewind a few seconds- it goes all the way back to the first news segment. If your screen goes dark it does this too. I have to change my phone settings just for this. Frustrating and awful. Just bring back the TV channel for smart TVs.

Let me start by saying that in terms of content, Reuters News is second to none. The news articles are well-written, relatively unbiased, and usually just the right length. That us by far the most important measure of the app. But the app was just "completely redesigned from the ground up to better fit your busy life" and I hate the redesign. Every first-level screen is now half picture, half title and lead-in. I'd prefer more text. Not every story needs a pic. And the flow is now confusing.
