The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has set up 25 control rooms at various zones across the city to render quick response to those affected in view of the approaching Cyclone Biparjoy.
In addition to the monsoon control room at Sanskar Kendra in Paldi, 24 other control rooms have been set to cater to the cyclone grievances, stated a press release posted on the official Twitter handle of AMC Tuesday.
The control rooms, which have been set up since May 27, will be manned by an engineer and officials from the STP, garden department and fire brigade, to respond to incidents of tree falling down, collapse of buildings, subsidence of roads and flooding in the low-lying areas that may arise from Biparjoy.
There will also be 24 hours monitoring of operations by senior-level officials in all control rooms to ensure rapid response and prompt disposal of complaints.
People can easily lodge complaints via WhatsApp for prompt redress of problems arising from the cyclone, the release said.
