The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce a call for English Access Micro Scholarship Program applications open until April 12th, 2022.
What is The English Access Micro Scholarship Program?
Access is a U.S. State Department-supported program that provides a foundation in English language skills to bright, economically disadvantaged students, primarily aged 13 to 20, in their home countries. Access programs give participants English, leadership and life skills that may lead to better professional and educational opportunities in the future.
The goal of the Access Program is to equip students who possess a minimal knowledge of English with effective communication and critical thinking skills through meaningful interaction, cooperative learning strategies, interest-appropriate activities, and real-life contexts.
Participants also gain the ability to compete for and participate in future exchanges and study in the United States.
Who can be eligible providers?
Burundian local educational or community organizations with official recognition.
