F. Murray Abraham‘s sudden exit from Mythic Quest in 2022 was reportedly due to allegations of sexual misconduct on set. Lionsgate released a short statement in April 2022 informing the public of his departure from the Apple TV+ series. “F. Murray Abraham will not be returning to Season 3 of Mythic Quest,” the statement read. “Beyond that, we do not comment on matters concerning personnel.” The 83-year-old actor did not issue a response at the time. The cagey statement implied there was more going on behind the scenes than was being shared. A new report from Rolling Stone claims that Abraham was fired from the comedy after two incidents of sexual misconduct were reported by people working on the show. Per Rolling Stone, the first alleged incident resulted in The White Lotus actor receiving a warning to stay away from one of the show’s actresses. Rob McElhenney, creator and star of the series,...

F. Murray Abraham has been accused of sexual misconduct, reportedly leading to his “Mythic Quest” exit.
Rolling Stone published a report claiming that the “White Lotus” Season 2 actor was at the center of two complaints. Per the outlet, the first incident led to Abraham being given a warning and told to keep away from some of the show’s actresses, according to a production source. A second incident was brought to “Mythic Quest” creator and star Rob McElhenney, who reportedly decided to have Abraham exit the Apple TV+ series ahead of its third season.
At the time, Abraham’s exit was addressed by McElhenney to Variety, saying, “It’s a bummer to not have Murray in this season. But we recognize that [his character] C.W. is a beloved character and obviously a huge part of the show. So, we made sure that we have a really fitting tribute to him. We...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Succession Season 4, Episode 4, “Honeymoon States.”] Has Succession found its successor? After the latest episode, it would seem so as brothers Kendall (Jeremy Strong) and Roman (Kieran Culkin) stepped in to share interim CEO duties in the wake of father Logan Roy’s (Brian Cox) death. One thing that viewers know well enough about the Roy kids though, is that when it comes to sharing, all bets are off. Sure, the brothers approach the gig as partners and try to placate Shiv (Sarah Snook) who feels slighted by the unfolding dynamics, but it’s Kendall who appears to rise up and grab at the power his dad left behind. Kendall’s reinvigoration following Logan’s demise has almost everything to do with a found piece of paper from his dad’s safe which includes his name. While the intention behind his name inclusion — which is either underlined or crossed out — is unclear, Kendall sees ...

Without a platform to call its own, Sony is the arms dealer of the streaming wars. It made a deal last year to provide movies and programming to Netflix that includes everything from “Spider-Man” and “Morbius” to “Cobra Kai” and “The Night Agent.” However, it’s still possible that Sony has a major player in the streaming wars — and no, we’re not talking about buying Crackle back from Chicken Soup for the Soul. You might have heard of it: PlayStation.
PlayStation, of course, is Sony Interactive Entertainment’s 28-year-old brand devoted to kitting out the world’s gamers with consoles, Aaa games, and even VR. All those platforms, titles, and loyal users give it a very, very big head start in cloud gaming… which may also be the next major frontline for streaming dominance.

AMC+ currently costs $8.99 per month.
Tomorrow is AMC Networks’ 2023 upfront, which is when AMC+ with ads will begin selling commercial time. AMC Network will report its first-quarter 2023 earnings the morning of May 5.

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Barry” Season 4, Episode 2, “Bestest Place on the Earth.”]
“Barry” has a way of pushing its characters to distinct places. So often, over the seasons, the anxiety that comes from clutching for any available option means that everyone has to put on a performance. It started with a wayward hitman wandering into a theater and picking up a love for black box productions. It’s also manifested in different people pretending to love someone or projecting an image of dangerousness.
And sometimes, that desire to perform makes you deliver a shipping enterprise pitch to a room full of henchmen who’ve just finished an afternoon filled with Skee-Ball and branded arcade games. All of the above are part of “Barry” Season 4’s mass existential crisis event. Still setting the table for the beginning of the end, “Bestest Place on the Earth” is a collection of people locking in their last-ditch efforts to make their lives make sense. Some are out of necessity.

An eagle-eyed Jeopardy! fan caught a rare sight during Friday’s (April 14) episode when host Ken Jennings held up the Final Jeopardy! card in front of the cameras. As Friday’s episode came to a close, Jennings turned to the camera and raised his arms, but in doing so, he flashed the front of his cue card, which included several lines and a table filled in with different words and notes. Jeopardy! superfan Lilly managed to snap a screenshot of the moment and shared it on Twitter. She also explained how the tables on the card worked based on her knowledge of the show. “We got a rare look at Ken’s Final Jeopardy card tonight!” she tweeted on Friday night. “This is the card where a staff member (I believe co-head writer Michele Loud) writes all the contestant wagers and possible outcomes for the host to have on hand...

British director Joe Wright, who helmed Winston Churchill drama “Darkest Hour” – which earned Gary Oldman an Oscar for his portrayal as the British prime minister – has now changed historical sides.
Wright is at Rome’s Cinecittà Studios shooting high-end TV drama “M. Son of the Century” which chronicles Benito Mussolini’s rise to power. A timely tale because, as he puts it: “Populist leaders are sprouting up all over the world.”
Aesthetically, the show will be “quite outlandish” with deeply saturated colors, punctuated by a “kind of techno score,” the director said during a recent set visit. Though “It’s...

Pat Sajak tried to lighten the mood on Friday’s (April 14) episode of Wheel of Fortune when one contestant made a flub she might have lived to regret. Fans of the show were quick to react online, with some amazed by the incorrect answer. The moment came during the “Fun and Games” category when the puzzle board read, “MIN_ _ _ _ Re G _ _ _.” The answer Sajak was looking for was “Miniature Golf,” but that’s not what he received. Alex, an Mba graduate from Santa Monica, California, hilariously guessed “Miniature Goat,” only for fellow contestant Matthew, a forensic psychologist, to buzz in with the correct answer, “Miniature Golf.” An embarrassed Alex laughed at herself for her incorrect answer, but she received encouragement from Matthew and Sajak. “Well, goats are small,” Matthew said, defending his fellow player’s guess. “What’s more fun than a little tiny goat?” Sajak added. Oh wheel of fortune…...

Mayor of Kingstown star Jeremy Renner followed through on the promise he made on last week’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, returning to the hospital that helped save his life following his near-fatal snowplow accident. Renner opened up about his experience at the Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, while on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last Monday (April 10), saying it was like living in a “haunted house.” “It was a sort of ‘under construction’ ICU; they weren’t done with the ICU area when I got there,” he explained. “They put me in like a janitor’s closet, no bathroom in it, and the lights are flickering, everyone’s moaning… I’m like, ‘This is like a haunted house!’ And it’s called ICU, like, ‘I See You!'” Realizing he might not have been the easiest patient to deal with, Renner told Kimmel, “I’m going back to this hospital...

One answer was given at Cannes MipTV trade fair on Monday by a presentation titled ‘What Do Streamers Want?’ In it, Guy Bisson, research director at Ampere Analysis, painted an illuminating picture of the Ott giants’ metamorphosis.
