Every first-year student is carefully paired with a specialty career adviser who provides career guidance throughout the four-year curriculum. Your specialty career adviser not only acts as a mentor, but also invests in you and your success as you pursue your M.D. degree.

Your instructors are not only your instructors, they're leaders across the institution, performing surgeries, seeing patients, conducting research, and working at Mayo Clinic.
Medical students receive instruction and experience directly from physician faculty who spend significant time in the clinic and hospital settings. From day one, you'll use the knowledge gained from the classroom and directly apply it to patient care in a clinical setting, right alongside your instructors.
Fred Meyer, M.D., dean of Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, holds monthly "breakfast club" meetings with all medical students to check in and get a pulse on student life.
