Placing a hold

Place a hold on an item to have it delivered to your local library for pick up.

• Place up to 20 physical and 20 digital holds. 
• Holds can be canceled at any time.
• Have your holds delivered to you with Books by Mail for $3.00 per item.

Pausing a hold

Pause your holds on My MCL, and on OverDrive or the Libby app. 

Pausing holds is a great way to get items in order, like a book or TV series. You can also choose when holds come in, so you get items when you have time to use them.

A paused hold will continue to move up the waiting list, but will not fill until you are ready.
