William H. Macy Is a Blast From the Past in ‘The Conners’ First Look (Photo)
It doesn’t look like a warm welcome for Dan (John Goodman) and Louise Conner (Katey Sagal) on the January 11 episode of ABC‘s The Conners, when they encounter high school classmate Smitty Cusamano (guest star William H. Macy), as seen in the first look photo above. Smitty, who left Lanford to find fame and fortune in the pool supply business, is an “outgoing, salesman-type,” says executive producer Bruce Helford. He returns to Lanford to attend a funeral of a beloved English teacher “and maybe show off a bit for his old school buddies,” Helford adds. In the image above, you’ll notice that Dan, Louise, and Smitty are standing in a bar, which may look familiar to Roseanne viewers — it’s Lobo, the famous hangout from the original series! And that’s not the only callback to the ’90s sitcom in the episode, as Helford teases Smitty has quite

Golden Globes 2023: Why Aren’t More Stars Reacting to Nominations?
The Golden Globes are back on NBC on January 10, with Jerrod Carmichael hosting, and nominations are out. Leading TV nominees is Abbott Elementary with five. Following with four each are The Crown, Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Only Murders in the Building, Pam & Tommy, and The White Lotus. Receiving three nominations each are Black Bird, Hacks, Ozark, and Severance. HBO Max and Netflix both received the most, with 14 each. Usually, on the day of nominations for awards shows, stars will react to the news, whether through a statement or with a post on social media. However for the 2023 Golden Globes, that hasn’t exactly been the case, with few messages shared, especially on the TV side (which we’re rounding up below). The Globes are back on NBC after the event in 2022 was not televised (though winners were unveiled on social media) following industry backlash to the

‘National Treasure’: Antonio Cipriano on Riley Poole Moment Fans Will Love in ‘Edge of History’
National Treasure: Edge of History doesn’t have Nicolas Cage‘s gravely voice declaring he’s “going to steal the Declaration of Independence,” but it does bring fans back into the familiar fold of the franchise’s treasure hunting. Lisette Olivera leads the spinoff series as Jess Valenzuela, the de facto Ben Gates, with Zuri Reed‘s Tasha, Antonio Cipriano‘s Oren, and Jordan Rodrigues‘s Ethan playing her found family and fellow treasure hunters. The foursome, friends since elementary school, will face off with Catherine Zeta-Jones‘ villainous artifacts dealer Billie in the historical fiction/action series, premiering December 14 on Disney+. Justin Bartha reprises his role as fan-favorite Riley Poole in the show. Oren, Tasha, and Ethan jointly represent Riley and Abigail (played by Diane Kruger in the films), but Cipriano tells us Oren is closest in character to Riley. Not only that, but Oren’s also a massive fan
