Things are heating up in Metropolis, as DC Studios co-head James Gunn has announced he is writing a new feature film about Superman. In step with the new project, Gunn has also revealed that Henry Cavill will not return as the hero.

“Peter & I have a DC slate ready to go, which we couldn’t be more over-the-moon about; we’ll be able to share some exciting information about our first projects at the beginning of the new year,” the director-turned-label-chief tweeted Wednesday evening.

“Among those on the slate is Superman. In the initial stages, our story will be focusing on an earlier part of Superman’s life, so the character will not be played by Henry Cavill. But we just had a great meeting with Henry and we’re big fans and we talked about a number of exciting possibilities to work together in the future.”

Stephen Boss was getting very busy before his tragic death.

On Friday, People reported that the DJ known as “tWitch” and his wife, Allison Holker, had “multiple shows, brand deals and projects in pre-production for the upcoming year.”

Mexico’s president made a public request Wednesday to Puerto Rican reggaeton star Bad Bunny to play a free concert in Mexico City, to make up for a fake ticket scandal that left thousands frustrated outside his sold-out appearance Friday.

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said he couldn’t offer the singer any money, but the government would pay for the lights, stage and sound system, and even install a zip line at the capital’s huge main central plaza.

López Obrador suggested Bad Bunny would perform for free because he is “sensitive” and feels “solidarity” with those who couldn’t get in because of duplicate tickets sold by fraudsters.

“I would tell him how deeply we were touched to see young people sad because they couldn’t get in, because they had duplicated tickets, because they were victims of fraud,” López Obrador said.

“Sister Wives” star Gwendlyn Brown doesn’t mind poking fun at her parents Christine and Kody Brown’s recent split. The 21-year-old daughter of the former couple took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday to share that her account was newly verified.

Posting a screenshot featuring her new blue checkmark, Gwendlyn wrote, “When your parents get divorced and you get their leftover fame. Verified b****es.”

On Friday, Warner Bros. debuted the first teaser trailer for the hotly anticipated “Barbie” movie, directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margot Robbie as the iconic Mattel doll.

Amazon is in the final talks to officially produce a series adaption of “Warhammer 40,000”, a popular sci-fi miniature war game. Cavill may potentially star in and produce the adaptation, and as a known super fan of the game who paints some of his own miniature figurines at home, it sounds right up his alley.

According to TMZ, law enforcement sources say that the dancer and “Ellen” show star known as tWitch left a note at the scene where he took his own life earlier this week.
