Jessica Chastain is returning to Broadway a decade after her debut to help put a new spin on Henrik Ibsen’s iconic play A Doll’s House.

The Oscar-winning actress and The Nurse star will portray Nora Helmer in an upcoming modernized take on the groundbreaking play. The new version hails from The Jamie Lloyd Company and will come from scribe and Pulitzer Prize finalist Amy Herzog, with direction by Jamie Lloyd.

The production’s creative team, additional casting, dates, theater and ticketing information will be announced at a later date.

Premiering in 1879 at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, A Doll’s House offered a stark and seemingly enduring message about sexism, gender dynamics and women’s human rights. Through the lens of a power and gender-imbalanced relationship, the three-act play explores one man’s complete domination over the life of his wife

Ralph Fiennes had an unintentional role in Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck‘s romance. The 59-year-old British actor played Lopez’s love interest in the 2002 film “Maid in Manhattan”.

The filming for the romantic comedy took place in 2002 as Lopez was in the process of divorcing dancer Cris Judd. At the time she was secretly seeing Affleck, and Fiennes says he was used as a decoy for Lopez and Affleck’s initial romance.

“Were you a decoy for their [relationship]?” Andy Cohen asks Fiennes on Tuesday’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live” after a fan questioned Fiennes about the return of Bennifer.

“I was, I was,” Fiennes confirms.

“Really? Because you were shooting “Maid in Manhattan” while they were dating?” Cohen asks.

“Yeah, yeah, I was set up,” Fiennes says.

The Oscar-winning actor says he “was asked out to dinner” at Cipriani’s in Soho by Lopez and her team.

TikTok has released its second annual Discover List and, for the first time, it’s a global report, spotlighting a diverse group of creators across the world, including two Canadians who are making a tremendous impact both on and off the platform.

This year’s list recognizes 50 unique, diverse, and trendsetting creators on the popular video platform while celebrating their “creativity, discovery, and authentic expression” as they “entertain, shine light on important topics, educate, and inspire” others.

Mei Pang, a first-generation Canadian of Malaysian decent born in the outskirts of Toronto, is recognized in the “Originators” category of this year’s list, which highlights trendsetting creators “who’ve started viral dances, sounds, aesthetics and more.”

A new documentary series about the life of Nispey Hussle is in the works.

According to Deadline, NBA star LeBron James is set to produce a docuseries with Hussle’s Marathon Films about the life of the late rapper.

The series is still untitled, but it will cover Hussle’s life story, from growing up as a kid in Crenshaw, to his rise as both an artist and activist.

Along with never-before-seen archival footage, the series will feature interviews with more than 50 of the rapper’s collaborators, including Kendrick Lamar, Diddy, Snoop Dogg and Nussle’s longtime partner Lauren London.

Production company SpingHill released a short teaser for the series, featuring voice-over from Hussle himself, and a glimpse at some of the home video footage that will be included.

Emmy-nominated “L.A. Burning: The Riots 25 Years Later” director One9 will helm the project.

Eva Mendes has fuelled rumours she and longtime partner Ryan Gosling have tied the knot.

The actress, who first started dating the Canadian actor back in 2011, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a photo of her tattoo.

The inking, which she held across her face, featured the words “de Gosling”.

On Wednesday, Apple TV+ debuted the first full trailer for “Emancipation”, in which Smith plays an enslaved man journeying to freedom through the swamps of Louisiana.

“Inspired by a true story, one man fights through unthinkable terrors in an attempt to reunite with his family,” the officer description reads.

The trailer shows Smith’s character, Peter, taken into slavery before mounting his escape in order to enlist with the Union army against the South in the Civil War.

“What can a mere man do to me,” Peter says in the trailer.

The movie is inspired by the iconic 1863 photos of “Whipped Peter”, which showed the formerly enslaved man’s back filled with scars.

Mariah Carey has reportedly lost her bid to officially trademark the phrase “Queen of Christmas.”

On Tuesday, the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board denied Carey’s attempt, along with other titles she tried to gain rights to like “Princess Christmas” and “Christmas Princess,” according to a release obtained by TMZ.

The “All I Want For Christmas” singer applied for the trademark in March of 2021. At the time, she quickly faced backlash after legendary singer, Darlene Love, and musician, Elizabeth Chan, fired back at Carey’s attempt.

In Carey’s filing, she stated that she planned to use the trademark for “fragrances, lotions, nail polish, jewelry, cups, mugs, chocolate milk, coconut water … as well as ornaments, toys, dog clothing, masks, lingerie and sweatshirts,” as TMZ reports.

Billy Ray Cyrus has confirmed his engagement to Australian singer, Firerose.

The country music star, 61, told People that he asked his “New Day” song collaborator to marry him back in August. Blueface has been taken into custody. The artist was arrested by police in Las Vegas on charges of attempted murder.

The 25-year-old rapper, whose real name is Johnathan Porter, was arrested by detectives on Tuesday afternoon, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to Et.

Actor Kevin Spacey will be charged with seven further sex offences, all against one man, piling on the pressure for one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

Britain’s Crown Prosecution said Wednesday that charges against the former “House of Cards” star are three of indecent assault, three of sexual assault and one of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent. The charges relate to incidents between 2001 and 2004.
