Out dated & not user friendly

Needs improvement. I pay a subscription on this app because I want to access good journalism and to financially contribute to the media. However, it’s quite disappointing that for years there has been no investment into making the app more user friendly. It’s awkward, has no search option and is just generally out dated. It’s also very annoying that if I click a link to an independent article on Twitter it doesn’t open in the app so if it’s a premium access article, I have to go to the app and find it. Could be much better and doesn’t encourage me to continue paying my subscription.

Premium content issues

I have paid for the premium content but it is very buggy-at least five times a day, it loses that setting and hides the premium articles, only way to resolve is to log out and login again. Super frustrating!

Greed Merchants !

Why so many premium articles? Very frustrating to open and find 90% of articles are Premium. I can understand that the app needs to be paid for but surely that can be done thru advertising revenue ? I can appreciate having so many adverts as they help pay for the app. Judging by your ratings , not a lot of readers happy with app. If there was far less premium articles ( or in fact none at all!) you would have MORE readers reading MORE adverts producing MORE revenue for advertisers. Tragic that in this pandemic , when many businesses have drop their costs and fees the Independent has increased it’s amount of premium articles. Shame on you !
