General complaints
If your complaint is about a matter of personal taste or preference, or the ABC generally, we will note your concerns and make them available to the relevant area. We might also ask the manager responsible for the program or area to provide you with a response.
Before submitting your complaint, you may wish to see if your concern has been addressed in this Help Centre. Use the search bar at the top of this page to search for topics or return to the ABC Help home page and browse through the help sections.
Editorial complaints
Editorial complaints generally need to be about a specific program or story. You will need to tell us where and when you saw or heard it, and why you feel it did not comply with the ABC’s editorial standards.
The ABC takes complaints about its editorial performance very seriously. We have an established specialist complaint-handling team, Audience and Consumer Affairs, which is separate to and independent of content making areas within the ABC. Audience and Consumer Affairs reviews and, where appropriate, investigates written complaints alleging that ABC content has breached the ABC’s editorial standards. These standards are set out in the ABC’s Editorial Policies.
