Bob’s Burgers, Heartstopper, Squid Game and The Other Two were also among the winners. Yellowjackets star Melanie Lynskey won best TV performance, while The White Lotus‘ Jennifer Coolidge won best supporting TV performance and the Wilde Wit award.

Galeca’s inaugural TV Icon honor (streamlined from its original name, The “You Deserve An Award!” Award), came out a tie. The Good Fight and The Gilded Age star Christine Baranski shares the title with comic actress Cassandra Peterson, known best as her alter ego Elvira.

Actor-comedian Jerrod Carmichael was named Lgbtqia+ TV Trailblazer “for creating art that inspires empathy, truth and equity.

HBO’s “Game of Thrones” prequel series “House of the Dragon” touched down in Sydney this week for its official Australian premiere, but the event quickly turned controversial after Patrick Delany, the CEO of Australian television company Foxtel, referred to Emilia Clarke as a “short, dumpy girl.” Foxtel, an Australian pay television company, is the country’s home for “Game of Thrones.”

As reported by Australian publication Crikey (via Vanity Fair), Delany was giving a speech ahead of the “House of the Dragon” premiere screening and tried to make a joke about the first time he watched “Game of Thrones.

Still, Greg Garcia found them to be the perfect elements to bring together for his new program, Sprung. The Amazon Freevee comedy tells the tale of former inmate Jack (Garret Dillahunt) who gets released from his state co-ed prison early and is determined to use his newfound time for good while leading a band of misfits trying to survive in today’s world. Shark Tank is adding more sharks to its waters heading into Season 14, which is set to kick off Friday, September 23 on ABC. Gwyneth Paltrow is set to make her first-time appearance as a guest Shark in Season 14 of ABC’s “Shark Tank.” Doordash CEO and co-founder Tony Xu will also mark his first guest appearance this season.

The famed actor in films such as “Iron Man,” “Shakespeare in Love” and “Se7en,” Paltrow’s guest role will mark her first TV appearance in the business realm. In 2008, Paltrow founded the lifestyle brand known as Goop. She became CEO of the company in 2016. Alongside its book imprints, skincare and fragrances lines and live events, Goop has two shows on Netflix: “The Goop Lab with Gwenyth Paltrow” and “Sex,

eOne has selected Kris Henigman as its new senior vice president of scripted television, where he will focus on the development and packaging of television projects, Variety has learned exclusively.

“I am very excited to join the amazing team at eOne. In addition to eOne’s fantastic original series slate, Hasbro has a deep well of beloved IP that I have been a massive fan of since childhood. I am thrilled to help continue bringing these projects to screen as we add to an already exciting TV slate,” said Henigman in a statement.
