Batgirl Star Leslie Grace Responds to HBO Max Cancellation, Thanks Fans for 'Allowing Me to Take on the Cape'
Batgirl star Leslie Grace has broken her silence about the DC Comics movie being scrapped by HBO Max.

Grace, who broke out last year in the musical In the Heights, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share her thoughts on the streamer’s surprising decision not to release the film at all, even though it was already filmed and in post-production. (The film was reportedly the victim of cost-cutting efforts at HBO Max’s parent company, the newly merged Warner Brothers Discovery.)

While Derek and Cayla aim for the stars with their “Don’t get last!” plan, Ben shows concern that his relationship with Tyson on Survivor: Winners at War wasn’t quite ideal. And yep — this plays a huge factor into tonight’s strategy.

How ‘Better Call Saul’ Recreated ‘Breaking Bad’s’ Most Iconic Set
Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched the 11th episode of “Better Call Saul” Season 6, titled “Breaking Bad.”

When set decorator Ashley Marsh found out “Better Call Saul” was going to revive the iconic Rv from “Breaking Bad,” she was psyched. And luckily, the original “Krystal Ship” had been kept safely stored at the Sony lot. There was only one issue: the Rv was “completely gutted on the inside.”

Now, “Breaking Bad” had always used two “RVs” — one fully functional vehicle for exterior and driving shots, and a separate soundstage for shooting the interior. To recreate that set for “Better Call Saul,

Reservation Dogs Season 2 Premiere Recap: How to Conquer a Curse — Plus, Did Elora Make It to California?
In the Season 2 opener of Reservation Dogs, the recently ditched Bear is all sorts of mopey. Luckily for us, that means it’s William Knifeman to the rescue!

But before we get to Spirit’s tough (yet absurdly comical) love for Bear, here’s where we left the Rez Dogs: Elora took off to California with Jackie after an argument with Bear; Willie Jack and Cheese decided against leaving the reservation; and Uncle Brownie believed he had the power to stop a tornado that was ripping through the area. Nichelle Nichols: A ‘Star Trek’ Pioneer Who Overcame the Racial Biases of Her Era

Nichelle Nichols: A ‘Star Trek’ Pioneer Who Overcame the Racial Biases of Her Era
When a major entertainment industry figure dies, I make a point of searching Variety’s archives to find the person’s first appearance in our pages. The timing and context of an individual’s Variety debut is often extremely telling about the arc of their career.

I did my usual search after the sad news broke July 31 that actor-singer Nichelle Nichols, the legendary Lt. Uhura of the original “Star Trek” series and a true TV pioneer, had died at age 89. What I found made me wince. This trip back in time brought me face to face with the ugly history

Appearing virtually at the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Wednesday, head writer Jessica Gao, series lead Tatiana Maslany and director Kat Coiro all were mum about what exactly goes down between Jennifer “Jen” Walters’ big,

Donald Glover Defends ‘Atlanta’ Against Criticism It’s Only for White People: ‘Kind of Whack to Me’
Much of the FX series “Atlanta” has been about exposing the performativity of white “woke” advocacy — but Donald Glover’s experimental show has not been immune to criticisms that it’s only for white people.

During the ongoing summer Television Critics’ Association press tour, creator/star Glover defended the series against those very criticisms, saying that he does this “shit for the people.” (Via Entertainment Weekly.)

“I do a lot of this s— for the people,” Glover said. “So if you’re sitting there being like, ‘Oh, this is misogynoir,’ I’m wondering why you think that and why you think I feel that way when I’m nothing without my people. It’s just kind of whack to me. Some of that to me is just Internet people trying to get hot, which is also something we learned in the system we’re in.”

He continued, “I feel like

‘The Sandman’ Author Neil Gaiman, Star Tom Sturridge Tease Netflix Series: ‘It’s Just a Wild Ride’
The world premiere of hotly anticipated Netflix series “The Sandman” at London’s BFI Southbank on Wednesday evening was a star-studded triumph, with Neil Gaiman and cast greeted with cheers and adulation.

Apart from Gaiman, on whose iconic comics the series is based, the cast and crew, Netflix and Warner Bros. Television executives, the audience was largely composed of comic book aficionados who evidently were familiar with the nuances of every single one of the 75 comics in the series.

The first two episodes of the series were screened to a rapt audience, and Gaiman kicked off the post-screening Q&a

‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ Team Tease Daredevil Appearance, Jennifer & Matt Matching Wits
As is no surprise, there’s not much that can be said about Charlie Cox appearing as lawyer Matt Murdock/Daredevil in Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, premiering on Thursday, August 18 on Disney+. Still, we can’t wait to see whatever happens, given that he and Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany) have being a superhero and lawyer in common. “Charlie is amazing. He does some great work. The tone of our show is so different and to see his character in the tone of She-Hulk is really fun,” Maslany said during the show’s virtual panel as part of the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour. Added Kat Coiro, who serves as executive producer and directed six of the episodes, “to watch Matt Murdock and Jennifer Walters, She-Hulk, Daredevil, go toe-to-toe and match wits, I think, is something that people are going to love.” Furthermore, said head writer and executive producer Jessica Gao,
