Parafencing

Each year, USA Fencing hosts parafencing competitions at two North American Cups alongside able-bodied events as well as the USA Fencing Parafencing National Championships, which is held in conjunction with the Division I National Championships.

U.S. tournaments are open to any parafencer age 13 and older with fencers of all classifications fencing in the same event.

IWAS announces path to Tokyo 2020

Current selection procedures as of January 21, 2021

The international governing body for wheelchair fencing has announced the qualifying path for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.  The qualification period will run from November 1, 2018 - May 31, 2020. You can find the full breakdown here.

IWAS License

In 2018, the IWAS Wheelchair Fencing Executive Committee agreed on the introduction of a fee for the registration and licensing of all wheelchair fencing athletes and referees. This license will be introduced from January 1st, 2018 and will run annually ending on December 31st each year.

The fee is $30.
