Alfred State - Northland

Alfred-NorthlandAlfred State is pleased to expand its educational programs to the Buffalo region and the Northland Workforce Training Center, where this position will be located.

 Alfred State is one of eight Colleges of Technology within the SUNY sytem, offering outstanding opportunities in more than 75 academic programs. The cornerstones of its programs are project-based learning and civic engagement, where students are exposed to real-world problems and learn how to be involved in their communities. 

Mission: Alfred State College at Northland Extended Learning Center has a reputation of drawing the best faculty and staff from every field. This College of Technology offers outstanding opportunities in Electrical Trades, Welding, and Machine Tool Technology where project-based learning, sustainability, and civic engagement are cornerstones of the curricula. When students work on real-world problems, they learn how to think, not what to think, and they learn how to be involved in their community. That is why Alfred State graduates have a 99 percent employment and transfer rate.

 Our faculty is dedicated to teaching and the academic success of our students. Alfred State at Northland Extended Learning Center seeks educators who are student-centered and engage in the life of the College. Our tenure process emphasizes teaching and university service with a more flexible approach to scholarship and professional growth.

 Classes started at Northland Extended Learning Center in August 2018 with 60 students. Fall 2019 we have a student population of 140.
