I read a tip somewhere about becoming a 'guest railroad conductor' on the MK railroad. If such a thing is possible how do you go about doing it? My four year old would LOVE it!

    Hello Lori!

Yes, guests of the Magic Kingdom can become a "Walt Disney Railroad Guest Conductor".  This happened to me and some of my friends in December 2010.  We had the privilege of saying "All Aboard!" right before the Walt Disney World Railroad Train pulled out of the Frontierland Station and then when we got off at the Mickey's Toon Town Fair Station we received a Walt Disney Railroad Guest Conductor Card to keep. The front of this awesome keepsake card shows Conductor Mickey next to a smiling red Train with Cinderella Castle in the background and it says "Official guest conductor for the Walt Disney World Railroad authorized by: Mickey Mouse"! The back of the card says, Walt Disney World Railroad Guest Conductor, good for round trip passage through the Magic Kingdom Park.  Have a magical journey!

This experience is considered a "magical moment" and can be a random event.  You can help your chances of receiving this particular "magical moment" by talking with the Cast Members at the Railroad Station while you are waiting for the train to arrive.  Be sure to mention your son's love of Railroads and also ask the Cast Members questions about the Walt Disney World Railroad's history and little know facts about it.

I hope your son has the magical memory of saying "All Aboard!" on your next trip to Walt Disney World!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
