Nielsen Streaming Top 10: ‘Better Call Saul’ on Netflix Takes No. 2 Spot Ahead of Season 6 Premiere
Though the sixth and final season of “Better Call Saul” didn’t debut until April 18, the show took the No. 2 position on Nielsen’s streaming rankings for the week of April 4-10 as viewers presumably rewatched the series on Netflix in preparation for its return.

Accruing 915 million minutes viewed, this is a notable achievement for the AMC crime drama, as acquired titles typically don’t chart as strongly as series that have their debuts on streaming services. “Better Call Saul” is a prequel and spinoff of AMC’s “Breaking Bad” that tells the story of Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), the

‘Julia’ Showrunners Dish on Mixing Fact and Fiction and All the Delicacies in Store for the Childs
Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you haven’t watched “Chocolate Souffle,” the Season 1 finale of “Julia,” now streaming on HBO Max.

Season 1 of “Julia” on HBO Max ends on a cozy scene of domesticity emblematic of the show itself: After a series finale in which main character Julia Child (played by actor Sarah Lancashire) suffers a crisis of confidence and backs out of her popular cooking show “The French Chef,” she is ultimately convinced to return to the show by her husband Paul (David Hyde Pierce). Once a snob who tried to forbid Julia from participating in public television,

‘Candy,’ Starring Jessica Biel and Melanie Lynskey, Can’t Quite Keep Its Grip on Gory, Complex True Crime Story: TV Review
Halfway through the final episode of “Candy,” I had to pause to answer the door. I was four and a half hours deep into Hulu’s newest “based on true events” limited series, this time about a suburban friendship that ended in horrifically fatal consequences in 1980. At this point, I’d become well and truly unnerved by the show’s sinister overtones, deliberately monochromatic palette, and anchoring performances from Jessica Biel (as acquitted murderer Candy Montgomery), Melanie Lynskey (as her neighbor and victim Betty Gore), and Pablo Schreiber. And yet, 30 seconds after I stopped watching the finale, I’d already

‘Sheryl’ Documentary Lets Sheryl Crow Fans Soak Up Her Life Story

‘Sheryl’ Documentary Lets Sheryl Crow Fans Soak Up Her Life Story
“I’ve always had real high highs and real low lows,” says Sheryl Crow early on in this documentary about her decades-spanning music career. What’s special about Sheryl is Crow being vulnerable and brave enough to talk openly about it all, including the sexual harassment she’s endured; her depression, especially as a result of her meteoric rise to fame in the ’90s from humble beginnings in small-town Missouri; and her battle with breast cancer. Where the film falls short is when, at times, it feels rushed. A line from actress Laura Dern about how she and Crow used to be roommates will have you salivating for details, but none follow. A comment from Crow seems to imply that she and her manager hadn’t yet made any money when “All I Wanna Do” won Record of the Year at the 1995 Grammys, but no explanation is given. Regardless, Crow

Kim Kardashian: Kanye West Walked Out of ‘SNL,’ Stopped Talking to Me Over Monologue Jokes
When Kim Kardashian hosted “Saturday Night Live” last year, she joked about her ex-husband Kanye West during her monologue. Though the two were amid a divorce, it seemed as if they were on relatively good terms at the time given her light-hearted monologue.

Kim quipped at the time about West, “I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he’s the richest Black man in America,” she said onstage. “A talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids. So, when I divorced him, you have to know it came down to just one thing: his personality.

Molly Shannon on Baring All for Her New Memoir and Why ‘The White Lotus’ Was ‘a Dream’
Molly Shannon has never worked with David Mamet, and yet the “Saturday Night Live” alum credits the playwright with her career breakthroughs.

In her new book, “Hello, Molly,” Shannon details the so-called “Mamet scam,” in which she and a friend pretended to work for the “Glengarry Glen Ross” director to secure meetings with Hollywood casting agents. It worked, and ultimately led to Shannon appearing on David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks.”

Shannon parlayed that opportunity into a decades-long career, most recently appearing on “The Other Two,” HBO’s hit anthology series “The White Lotus” and Showtime’s upcoming comedy “I Love That for You.
