Scoop: Canadian leftists are using “Ram Ranch,” a 2012 porno metal song about 18 gay cowboys, to troll anti-vaxx truckers and disrupt convoy communications on Zello and Telegram. They call themselves the #ramranchresistance.

If you have not been following the trial this week, you must read 's reporting from the courtroom in full. This case is so horrifying, I don't even know what to say.

to this point: while I am not surprised that Fox News would hire an "expert" in a bullshit science to weigh in on this trial, this is also representative of how the mainstream media in general decided this case long ago

there we go — here's one that buries the allegations of abuse 8 grafs down to focus on the rumor that she fucked James Franco (which, if true, has nothing to do with whats at stake here, which is whether she defamed Depp in her op-ed)

The vast majority of entertainment news publications will run this story with anodyne headlines like "Amber Heard Gives Emotional Testimony" — without specifying the horrors she's accusing him of. This case has already been tried in the media, and he's won

Phan's apparent journey down the misinfo rabbit hole isn't shocking. As we learned during the pandemic, the wellness influencer-to-pseudoscience-peddler pipeline is alive and well. But with an audience of 8.8 million subs, it's certainly concerning.

Phan's pivot to spiritual healing is all the more alarming when you look into Dr. Joe Dispenza, the "neuroscience" expert (he's actually a chiropractor) previously linked to the cult leader Ramtha, who claims to be a 35,000-year-old warrior from Atlantis.

It's not unusual for a beauty guru to plug weird hacks. What is unusual is plugging essential oils to cure COVID, which Phan did in Feb. 2020. She apologized when called out, then doubled down on Instagram, saying, "we should always question everything"

Even prior to that, Phan's fans knew she had a history of peddling weird misinfo. Earlier in her career, she recommended using (unused) cat litter to exfoliate and using lemon juice in a facial scrub, which can cause chemical burns.

Phan took a four-year hiatus from YouTube at the peak of her success. When she returned in 2019, she immediately started peddling Bitcoin to her fans; she also told that she hires employees for her makeup brand based on their astrological sign.

NEW from me: YouTube beauty guru Michelle Phan went viral for claiming on Instagram she taught a paralyzed man to walk during a meditation retreat. But her history of peddling misinformation and pseudoscience bullshit goes back a lot further than that:

And of course all of the replies to this very brave piece are jokes about it being planted by Heard's PR team. Half of the piece is just an overview of symptoms and quotes from licensed therapists; how could Heard's PR team *plant* info from the DSM? You people are fucked up.

This is exactly the problem with common conceptions of BPD. BPD is not predictive of violent & destructive behavior toward others. You know what it's incredibly predictive of, though? Violent & destructive behavior toward *yourself.*

This was a brave piece. BPD is incredibly stigmatized, and the author must have known that Johnny Depp stans would come after them. I'm very glad they were courageous enough to publish this and call out Depp's "expert" witness on her utter bullshit.

Let's break down what Gaetz is really saying in this strategically offensive tweet.
1) "Over-educated" is likely an attack on higher ed institutions, which the far-right has been demonizing as "liberal indoctrination centers" for years. He also hates powerful women, clearly. >>

Please do not spread misinformation about data from period tracking apps being used by the government to crack down on abortion. Yes, data privacy is an immense concern, but there’s no evidence the data from these apps would be used in this way. Do not make a scary time scarier.
