    the appetite for more authentic, less noisy social media apps is only going to grow. ig is headed down the same path as facebook years before - trying to be everythign to everyone and losing its identity in the process.

    For my piece, I compared BeReal's download growth to other "viral" apps like Peach and Ello, as you can see on this graph, Bereal's growth actually looks more sustained and significant than a lot of other viral apps you might remember.
