IMDb TV FAQ

IMDb TV is a free, ad-supported streaming service that allows you to stream premium movies and TV shows without purchasing a subscription.

In the United States and U.S. territories, IMDb TV is currently available as an App on Fire TV, Roku, Android TV, Google TV, LG smart TVs (TV models 2018+), Comcast XFinity X1 and Flex, Microsoft Xbox One and Series S/X, Sony PlayStation 4, iPhone, iPad, and Android mobile devices, Fire tablet, and on the Amazon website (https://www.amazon.com/imdbtv).

In the United Kingdom and Channel Islands, IMDb TV is currently available as an App on Fire TV and on the Amazon website (https://www.amazon.co.uk/imdbtv).

You can also watch the IMDb TV channel with the Prime Video app on smart TVs, mobile devices, Fire tablet, Echo screen devices, other major streaming devices or from the web. IMDb TV is only available on devices that support Ad-Supported channels. 

IMDb TV is no longer available to stream on IMDb.com or the IMDb app. You can access the IMDb TV app through these devices, and on the Amazon Prime Video app.

IMDb TV content includes advertisements that run while watching content on IMDb TV. These ads allow us to provide a premium selection of movies and TV shows for free. At this time, it is not possible to turn off or skip any advertisements that appear while watching content on IMDb TV.

IMDb TV does not currently have an option to purchase titles, however some IMDb TV content may be available to rent or purchase through Amazon Prime Video.

The selection of titles included with IMDb TV is always changing. Movies and TV shows are added to IMDb TV, and occasionally titles are removed. We're constantly working to improve our catalog to make sure that customers have access to the best selection of movies and TV shows possible.

You can browse titles currently available with IMDb TV on the Amazon website.

No. If you are logged in using the IMDb TV app, IMDb TV channel through Prime Video, or the Amazon website and are logged in with your Amazon.com credentials (Prime membership not required), you will be able to start playback immediately when you stream IMDb TV titles upon subsequent visits.

These settings are recognized on IMDb TV content streamed via the IMDb TV app for Fire TV and Prime Video apps.

• If you are accessing content within the IMDb TV app for Fire TV and have Parental Control settings turned on, you will be prompted to enter your PIN when launching the app. Once the correct PIN has been entered, you will be able to play any content without additional restrictions.
• If you are accessing content within the IMDb TV Channel through the Prime Video app or through one of the content carousels on Fire TV and have Parental Control settings turned on, you will be prompted to enter your PIN before playing content based on the content rating.

Viewing restrictions and PIN settings that have been set in your Amazon account are not currently honored on the IMDb TV app for smart TVs, game consoles, set top boxes, media players, and mobile devices.

If you are experiencing playback issues with IMDb TV on the app or through the IMDb TV channel on Prime Video, please try the following steps:

• Restart your device
• Ensure that your device and app/web browser have the latest updates
• Pause other internet activity – especially if other devices are using the network at the same time
• Check your internet connection
• Disable any VPN or proxy servers
