Bryce Dallas Howard Teases ‘Clone Wars’ Fans Will be ‘Greatly Rewarded’ With Disney+ ‘Ahsoka’ Series

Bryce Dallas Howard Teases ‘Clone Wars’ Fans Will be ‘Greatly Rewarded’ With Disney+ ‘Ahsoka’ Series
Bryce Dallas Howard’s connection to “Star Wars” goes back years.

The daughter of director-producer Ron Howard and former summer camp bestie with “Phantom Menace” star Natalie Portman, Howard even shocked herself with how much “Star Wars” lore she accumulated just by knowing George Lucas as a family friend.

“Every single year for Christmas, we would get ‘Star Wars’ figurines,” Howard recalled to Romper. “Before I was even old enough to know who the characters were and what the stories were, I was getting these little figurines, and I was very curious about it, and I was really into it. I learned about ‘Star Wars’ first through the toys.”

Howard went on to helm episodes of Disney+ series “The Mandalorian,” and joked that she “didn’t realize” how familiar she was with “Star Wars,” though she points out her knowledge can never rival that of Dave Filoni, who has been

‘The Offer’: Everything to Know About the ‘Godfather’ Paramount+ Drama

‘The Offer’: Everything to Know About the ‘Godfather’ Paramount+ Drama
Paramount+ is about to make you an offer you can’t refuse. The streaming service announced back in 2020 that, along with their rebranding from CBS All Access to Paramount, that they would be bringing audiences a limited series about the making of “The Godfather” titled “The Offer.” The move was met with some raised eyebrows as it seemed like a push for the burgeoning streamer to mine from its extensive, existing intellectual property.

In an ironic twist, similar to production of the film it is discussing, “The Offer” has had a rough road to completion. In 2021, “Top Gun: Maverick” star Miles Teller was brought in to replace Armie Hammer as Albert Ruddy. After that, the series had to pause production after one of the cast tested positive for Covid-19. But, thankfully, the show did go on and now audiences are just a week away from seeing what is on tap with “The Offer.

Paramount CEO Bob Bakish Sees 2021 Compensation Drop to 20 Million

Paramount CEO Bob Bakish Sees 2021 Compensation Drop to 20 Million
Paramount CEO Bob Bakish received total compensation last year of 20 million, a drop of nearly 19 million compared to 2020.

Bakish took in 3.1 million in salary and another 16.8 million in non-equity compensation last year. In 2020, Bakish’s nearly 39 million haul was inflated by the value of 16 million in stock awards that he received plus a 19.7 million bonus. Last year, per Paramount’s disclosure, Bakish did not receive a cash bonus or additional stock awards.

In detailing the executive compensation totals for 2021, Paramount cited in its proxy report that the company successfully launched the Paramount+ streamer (on the back of CBS All Access

HBO’s ‘Girls’ Celebrates 10th Anniversary: Where Is the Cast Now?

HBO’s ‘Girls’ Celebrates 10th Anniversary: Where Is the Cast Now?
It’s been a decade since Lena Dunham was the voice of her generation. Or, well, a voice of a generation.

HBO series “Girls” revolutionized the TV landscape when it premiered on April 15, 2012. The series, created by Dunham, who also starred in, executive-produced, wrote, and directed the show, first debuted at SXSW before its TV premiere and eventual five Emmy Award nominations that year. Jenni Konner served as co-showrunner and producer while Judd Apatow also executive produced.

Girls” stars Dunham as 20-something struggling writer Hannah Horvath, who has one foot in adolescence thanks to an allowance from her parents. After she’s informed she’s been financially cut off two years after graduating from a liberal arts college, Hannah embarks on navigating New York City by experiencing one mistake at a time.

Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, and Allison Williams play Hannah’s eccentric and at times codependent circle of friends.

Jensen Ackles on How The Winchesters Will Navigate Supernatural Mythology 'In a Way We Probably Didn't Expect'

Jensen Ackles on How The Winchesters Will Navigate Supernatural Mythology 'In a Way We Probably Didn't Expect'
Even The Winchesters executive producer Jensen Ackles had his doubts about whether a Supernatural prequel about John and Mary Winchester could work. After all, much of the backstory of Dean and Sam’s parents was already told (and even shown in episodes like Season 4’s “In the Beginning”) on the mothership series.

“To be honest, I was like, ‘I don’t know if we can do this,'” Ackles recently told TVLine while sitting in his car, watching filming on the CW pilot, “and then it took [writer] Robbie [Thompson] and me sitting down going like, ‘Well, we know we have to do this,

Set in a world where employees at the perplexing company known as Lumon can sever their consciousness between work and home life, Severance centers around Adam Scott‘s Mark. Severing after grieving the loss of his wife too greatly, Mark’s work-life includes no memory of Gemma, who we discover in the season’s final moments is actually Ms. Casey (Dichen Lachman) at Lumon. As they’re both severed, neither has a memory of the other, but it’s unclear how Gemma’s alive considering Mark believed her to be dead after an accident. The kids are ready to do-si-do. Their parents…well, they’re more of a do-si-don’t. Better Call Saul EP, Bob Odenkirk Preview the Final Season, Talk Jimmy and Kim's Dangerous 'Addiction'
Better Call Saul is about to enter its final season — but we’re not ready to start calling Jimmy McGill “Saul Goodman” just yet.

“The Jimmy who you meet at the beginning of Season 6 is still a ways off from Saul Goodman,” executive producer Peter Gould tells TVLine. And indeed, the Season 6 premiere — airing Monday at 9/8c on AMC — finds Jimmy still plagued by bouts of guilt and hesitation that we never saw in his Breaking Bad alter ego. As star Bob Odenkirk puts it, “there’s still another step or two of real abandonment of that dimension of himself

‘Roar’ Co-Creator on Nicole Kidman Eating Photos, Meredith Wever Dating a Duck, and More — Q&a;

‘Roar’ Co-Creator on Nicole Kidman Eating Photos, Meredith Wever Dating a Duck, and More — Q&a
[Editor’s Note: The following interview contains light spoilers for “Roar” Season 1. All eight episodes are available now on Apple TV+.]

Fables, by definition, provide a moral lesson, but that doesn’t mean the characters within each fanciful, fictitious story have to recognize the message themselves. A protagonist’s poor choices may lead to comeuppance, or their awakening may arrive too late. Their fate is meant to inform and instruct the reader, rather than simply make them feel safe and secure.

In other words, fables aren’t fairy tales, and “Roar” recognizes the difference. The eight-episode Apple TV+ series is adapted from Cecelia Ahern’s 2018 collection of shorts. A number of episodes — all fables — are steeped in relatable misfortune. The woman who solved her own murder doesn’t get her life back. The woman who disappeared doesn’t find a magic patch for racist blind spots. But in the hands of “Glow” creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, “Roar” imbues

‘The First Lady’ EP Teases Commonalities Between Three Very Different Women
It takes a power trio to play a power trio in The First Lady. For the 10-episode first season of its anthology on formidable FLOTUSes, Showtime enlisted Michelle Pfeiffer to play Betty Ford, Viola Davis for the role of Michelle Obama, and Gillian Anderson as Eleanor Roosevelt. (Credit: Ramona Rosales/Showtime) “What [these first ladies] had in common that fascinates,” executive producer Cathy Schulman says, “is that none of them wanted to be there. Eleanor wanted to be president — she didn’t want to be first lady. Betty went into the White House kicking and screaming, and Michelle was absolutely terrified for the lives of herself and her family.” See their East Wing success stories unfold and, oh yeah, actors Aaron Eckhart, O-t Fagbenle, and Kiefer Sutherland as Presidents Ford, Obama, and Roosevelt. ‘Better Call Saul’ Boss Explains How Final Season Will ‘Take People By Surprise’

‘Better Call Saul’ Boss Explains How Final Season Will ‘Take People By Surprise’
It’s been nearly two years since we’ve had a new episode of AMC’s stellar Breaking Bad prequel, Better Call Saul, and now that the long-awaited sixth and final season is beginning on Sunday, April 17, we can safely report (since we had an early peek at the first few episodes) that it is very much worth the wait. The fifth season finale in April 2020 left a lot of major story threads dangling and it doesn’t take long to pick up where things left off. While unscrupulous lawyer Jimmy McGill, aka Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) and wife Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) were joking about ways to get back at nemesis Howard Hamlin (Patrick Fabian), things were much more dire for Nacho Varga (Michael Mando). Nacho had infiltrated the world of crime lord Lalo Salamanca (Tony Dalton) and attempted a massive assassination that we know didn’t go as planned.
