    07:23 PM

Anil Kumble, the head coach of Punjab, says they were very confident in the last game with all the big hitters in and it was just a matter of adapting to the conditions and Shahrukh Khan and Odean Smith got them through. He said that the team decided about the playing XI during the auction itself and they have an exciting bunch.

    07:16 PM

We need to start well, assess the conditions early and bat well. We're just looking to play with the right attitude and right energy, if we do that, the results will take care of themselves. One change - KG (Rabada) comes in for Sandy (Sandeep). I thought he (Sandeep) bowled well last game but we had to get KG back in.

    - PBKS skipper Mayank Agarwal

    07:16 PM

We're going to bowl first. The reason is obviously the swimming pool (of dew) that's visible in the evenings. As I said last game, it's about giving it your all to defend no matter what score you have on the board. All the players are dedicated and focused to perform their roles for the last two games. We can't complain (about having three games in a week), we're all professionals. One change - Shivam Mavi comes in for Sheldon Jackson.

    Pitch Report

"This (today's pitch), I am not going to say it is a belter. But it is a very good looking pitch and there will be good balance between bat and ball. There is little grass and it is harder for the ball to get stuck into the surface. I still think it is going to move around, we will get some movement but it is not going to be as tricky in the powerplay," says Nick Knight.
    06:44 PM

Toss at 7 pm, match starts at 7.30

    06:32 PM

KKR pacer Umesh Yadav has 49 wickets in the powerplay in the IPL at an economy rate of 7.60

    06:22 PM

Will dew factor come into play today?

It may be early days in the two-month long IPL but the toss is already playing a significant role in the game's outcome with dew coming into picture in the second half of the game.
    06:21 PM

Punjab bowlers need to do more

Punjab bowlers came up against a marauding Faf Du Plessis in the first game and the likes of Sandeep Sharma, Arshdeep Singh and Odean Smith would need to up their game against KKR. The eight overs from spin duo of Rahul Chahar and Harpreet Brar could also make a difference in the game.
    06:18 PM

Punjab depends a lot on top order

For Punjab, a lot would rest on how their top three – skipper Mayank Agarwal, flamboyant Shikhar Dhawan and Sri Lankan Bhanuka Rajapaksa, who played a match-winning cameo against RCB, perform. While head coach Anil Kumble would expect more contributions from the middle order, the likes of Odean Smith and Shahrukh Khan proved their mettle when they steered the side home against RCB and would be keen to be among the runs again.
    06:16 PM

Shreyas Iyer hoping for more from batters

KKR were all out for 128 in 18.5 overs against RCB and skipper Shreyas Iyer will be hoping their batting to click in their next match.
