There is a lot of work done in HCI research area, due to this auditory interface develops for visually impaired people that assist them to work with desktop environment easily. To enhance better design, designer faces many challenges to develop auditory feedback system. This study purposed an new method named as adaptive auditory feedback system, which is continuous switching of speech-based feedback system (i.e. sound, music) to non-speech-based feedback system (i.e. spearcone) according to user state of interaction. As a visually impaired person who frequently access desktop system does not need continuous instructions. Experiment done on sixteen visually impaired people and result shows that adaptive auditory feedback system is efficient then only one particular method (speech-based or non-speech-based). Future cities will alter human behavior in countless ways and Socially Influencing Systems (SIS) will play an important role in making urban spaces more livable and resource-efficient by addressing current environmental problems and enabling healthier routines. This talk will focus on discussing ways for reshaping our current environments and designing future Persuasive Cities to help people become healthier and to acquire sustainable lifestyles.

Influencing systems and persuasive technology (PT) should give their users a positive experience. While that sounds attractive and many rush implementing novel ideas things such as gamification, a serious professional and scientifically rich discussion is needed to portray a holistic picture on technology influence. Relatively little research has been aimed at exploring the negative aspects, outcomes, and side effects of PT. Therefore this research aims at addressing this gap by reviewing the existing knowledge on dark patterns, demonstrating how intended Pt designs can be critically examined, introducing the Visibility-Darkness matrix to categorize and locate dark patterns, and proposing a Framework for Evaluating the Darkness of Persuasive Technology (FEDPT). The framework is instrumental for designers and developers of influential technology, as it clarifies an area where their products and services can have a negative impact on well-being, in other words, can become harmful to the users.

Contrary to popular belief, social influence encompasses a much more complex area of behavioral science than the explanation offered by those who call all forms of social influence a social norm, peer pressure, or simply social proof. To help scholars and practitioners develop a deeper understanding of social influence, this study presents a measurement instrument for evaluating susceptibility to seven social influence principles, namely social learning, social comparison, social norms, social facilitation, social cooperation, social competition, and social recognition. Each principle is represented by a construct containing six theory-driven items, both positively and negatively framed. Organizations continuously strive to engage customers in the services development process. The Social Web facilitates this process by enabling novel channels for voluntary feedback sharing through social media and technologically advanced environments. This chapter explores how social influence design principles can enhance the effectiveness of socio-technical systems designed to alter human behavior with respect to sharing feedback. Drawing upon social science theories, this chapter develops a research framework that identifies social influence design principles pertinent to persuasive systems that facilitate user engagement in feedback sharing. The design principles are then implemented in an information system and their effects on feedback sharing are explored in an experimental setting. The main findings of this chapter contribute to research related to social influences on user behavior and to the practice of designing persuasive information systems.

Sales property developer interacted with their customer in most conventional ways such as holding a meeting and deliver product knowledge by conversation. PT. GOLDLAND REALTY already uses innovation such as augmented reality to deliver visualization on their property building product knowledge, but the software shows a lack of interaction between sales staff and customer. Around 80% costumers tend to stop using the software within less than 5 minutes, which shows that customers are not enjoying the software enough. This paper proposes a solution which is capable of improving interaction on augmented reality with a user using User Centered Design (UCD) approach to a property developer building. The result showed that by using augmented reality and User Centered Design (UCD) approach, customers experienced more interaction with the software and gain more valuable product information while interacting.
