Since 2009, seven schools have made the kind of move the Bulls are pursuing. Here’s what they tell us about USF’s push.
Jeff and Penny Vinik donate $5 million to USF’s on-campus stadium

The gift from the Tampa Bay Lightning owner marks the second major donation to the project.
Lee Rose, widely deemed best coach in USF basketball history, dies at 85
Former USF men's basketball coach Lee Rose compiled a 106-69 mark with the Bulls and led the program to its first three postseason tournament berths.
The Kentucky native led the Bulls to their first three postseason tournament berths.
USF men’s top scorer Caleb Murphy in transfer portal, per reports
USF guard Caleb Murphy, who signed with the Bulls in November 2019, remains the program's highest-rated prospect of the Rivals era.
The second-year guard led the team in scoring, assists and minutes this past season.
